Unparalleled fit and feel
Not a fan of the polymer/plastic feel on most semi-autos. Never truly feels secure during a quick draw scenario. I own a G42 cause it’s compact and light, also I live down the street from their GA headquarters to customer service is great. Definitely recommend using the hairdryer as they recommend in the instructions, just really seals the deal with its fit and finish. Feels like how the pistol should have come. Will be purchasing one for my wife, stepdad and all my other/future guns. I’ll include pictures showing how slim fitting it is against the frame. Doesn’t affect its width but about .016” on either side. Not even noticeable as far as the slimness of the gun. Though it is super slim, it somehow gives an incredibly comfy feel. Night and day difference, much better than stippling as that just creates sharp edges but the talon grip provides a soft, grippy surface. Highly recommend. If it was $50, I’d still purchase another.SN: the edges on one picture look thick, that is due to the handle needing to be wrapped, and there is excess that has to be tucked in. I’ll be using a razor to trim it off and reheat it

Does what it should, and does it well.
Put off getting Talon grips for my carry gun for far too long. They're pretty easy to install, look great, and work very well. The rubber texture doesn't bother me when rubbing against my skin while carrying and hasn't started to peel at all. For my little G42 these add quite a lot of grip, even slightly increasing accuracy during today's range trip.

Easy to install; Granulate or Rubberized.
As usual, the Talon grips fit very well. There is no excess around the magazine release. The trick is to start on the mag release side of the grip, but don't press down too hard. After you wrap the tape around the grip, you insert the slight excess under the starting edge. Then press it down well, all around, and follow the directions (using a hairdryer) to fix it in place. The tape can be pulled up if needed, before the hairdryer is used, without any trouble.I use both the rubberized grip and the granulate. Generally, the granulate is better, giving a more secure grip. However, it is like sandpaper and therefore will snag clothes and is abrasive on bare skin. The rubberized grip is a better choice for the Summer, if the gun grip will be next to skin (like IWB under a shirt.)Overall, great product and worth the money.

Def recommend for Glock 42!
Great for the Glock 42 .380! Just installed mine today (got the granulated)- took all of 10 mins w/ the hairdryer time incl (see further) AND got a great deal via Amazon Open Box which shaved off 3 to 5 bucks from normal price.Very easy to install. Ya have to have a hair dryer to heat up the grips after installation (to about the temp of a warm cup of coffee), and then press more around the grips (espec edges) for even better sealing of the adhesive (which is indeed quite 'tacky' as it is w/out heating up w/ hair dryer). I def recommend this grip for very reasonable price point and if you want extra "grippiness," if you will...absolutely serves the purpose intended on the cheap. What I have NOT experienced yet, but will any day now, is carrying w/ the granulated grip with an IWB holster. I know it may rub and such, so don't know for IWB carry if this is best option versus the offered rubber Talon grip but will indeed know very soon (can update review after). The IWB holster I bought from Amazon after reading indep online reviews as well as those here on Amz is made my Outbags and is also very reasonably priced. The IWB holster I got is made by Outbags specifically for the G42 and is highly recommended by reviewers as well. Can easily find it via search (Outbags Glock 42 IWB holster). However, I also already have an OWB Fobus holster as well so if IWB proves uncomfortable no biggie as I have the OWB option. I often wear a t-shirt tucked in under my outer shirts so the "T" in and of itself may prove the granulated concern a moot issue when it comes to "the rub." Either way, the point is I DO like the feel of the granulated grip and know without hesitation it just fits the gun perfectly, feels better and more secure in my hand. Would def purchase again (and prob will for other handguns I own). There are Youtube vids out there that show install step by step if you want to see firsthand how easy it is.

Adds tactile benefit without bulk.
Don’t expect this product to add appreciable bulk to your pistol grip. It is basically thick tape with a tacky rough surface. I was happy with the size of my Glock G42’s grip but was not happy with its hard and slick surface. I first considered a Hogue grip. I’ve Satisfactorily used the hogue before to build up a small grip but for this application I felt it would add too much bulk to an already + size pocket pistol.Installation was easy with a little patience. Clean your pistol’s grip with isopropyl and a lint free cloth. Forget the little postage stamp alcohol wipe included with the grip. You can then apply and reposition the Talon grip till you get it perfect.I feel that drawing my little Glock from my pocket or my IWB holster is safer now that I have a much better grip on it.I Ordered the black color but the green one came instead but I like the look of green on black. My only complaint is the price, thus the 4 star rating.

Helpful add-on G42
Several at my range have these on various pistols. I liked my Pachmayr sleeve, which over time could ride up or down the handle, but decided to try Talon rubber grip. I have Arachnigrip on my slide, and there its granular (like sandpaper) works well. On my palm, granular becomes uncomfortable quickly, so chose rubber, like most others had. Was a little intimidated, as a little dexterity and thought is needed to install (my old hands). I was able to install it correctly, and upon shooting at my next range session, wow! I have kept this on, and find it grips very well with no slippage. Grip feels stable in hand and while firing. Simple clean with mild soap, water, and old t-shirt to dry it; retains grippiness. Four others have now added Talon to theirs, and one RO (range officer) put one on his ported Shield, which had the same effect as on the G42. And his wife likes it too.
