Either with a pin or by making a fold on the thin end of the lanyard.

What is the actuall lumen count on this light?

I don’t know. It’s the most powerful flashlight I own tho. My son wanted to bring it to school for flashlight day and I wouldn’t let him. Too bright (could hurt eyes) and it gets hot after extended use. I keep it as a home defense item as if it’s shined into someone’s face at night - they won’t be seeing much else for several minutes. It’s not a play toy, but a serious tool.

Why did it not come with charging cable or instructions? Why will it not come on after charging?

Would have been nice if it came with a charging cable, but mine charges fine with the same charging cable that I use for my cell phone. I charged it over night. Check the battery s and make sure they are in correctly and have no film over the ends. Unless your flashlight is defective, It should work fine. I really am impressed with mine. Hope you get it working.
