No other device in its class! AMAZING
11.25.17 UPDATE: This device is still going strong - just like the day we bought it... Tax time is so much easier when it comes to our mileage now! Everyone who needs to tally mileage should have this thing. ORIGINAL REVIEW - AUG 21 2015: Amazing little device. Yes, yes. As other reviews have stated it is a huge pain getting it connected to your WIFI and setting up the device on your PC. However once you get past that obstacle your all set. The devices setup could be a bit' more user friendly. I did have to change my router settings in order to get this device to connect - IT is not compatible with a 5GHZ wireless router signal. However 2.4 Ghz it does work with. A tip when installing this on a windows based PC. RESTART YOUR PC. I know - we all try skipping that step. Sometimes skipping is okay. But it didn't work for me I had to restart my PC. Another thing that makes it hard when setting this unit up is most people don't think they need to unhook a usb unit. The program doesn't seem to have a protocol to tell the unit to restart to test its settings (When adding WIFI hotspots). You really have to pay attention to the software because it does request that you unhook the unit and wait for the lights to go out and rehook it back up and it'll go through its prompts on your PC software. It stores about 100+ hours of drive time before needing to be connected to your WIFI. Want to setup multiple WIFI hotspots - this device has you covered to insure those hours are logged. Just make sure your WIFI reaches your parking spot so it can upload. If it does not I'm sure that small problem could easily be solved with a WIFI Extender. Compared to any other devices I have seen or worked with this thing is completely devoted to tracking mileage and DOES make it easy when it comes to tax time. The DC power adapter that connects to your vehicle I do not have a problem with... Except for the fact that the cord is a bit' short - okay it feels a bit' cheap as well. So after having this thing completely setup and installed in my vehicle. I can't express how impressed I was with the user friendly website layout. It is AMAZING. You can export reports to a .CSV or PDF - and exclude whatever you want or include. You can literally set up clients locations on a map and when you enter that area it automatically labels it. The list is super organized! The amazing thing about this device is once your get done your work day and you drive home this thing automatically detects that you have stopped (either by sensing ignition is turned off/in one spot for more than 5 minutes) and automatically searches for one of your WIFI routers on its list to connect to upload its Log. And they claim 10 minutes before you can see that on your account... Well I'd say more like 5 minutes and my entire mileage log was presented. This device is pretty much a set it and forget it kinda' thing. This tracker is AMAZING! Looking back into my purchase.... I would have gladly paid $300+ for this device. The only thing that is different from this device compared to others is that they charge you a monthly fee. KEEP IN MIND they do give you a free 3 month trial. Price is $3.00 per month and they do have a few extras that you can purchase for about $1-$2 extra per month. I'll list them as I don't think these addons are easily found...Those extras include: FREE | PDF & CSV EXPORT: Export reports to either PDF or CSV spreadsheets. You cannot export to multiple files at once. $1.50 | Client Reports: Create reports containing only trips tagged for a specific client (or multiple clients). $1.00 | Trip Duration: Adds a column to spreadsheet reports for the Duration of every trip. This is useful for analyzing the length of time spent driving the car. When combined with location or client-specific reports, this can help find ways to cut costs. $1.50 | Location Reports: Create reports containing only trips driven to a specific location (or multiple locations). Useful for tracking job sites. $2.00 | Time At Location: Adds a column to spreadsheet reports for the amount of time spent at each location. A very useful accountability tool for employers to verify employees are spending the reported time at given locations. Also, when combined with Client and Location reports this can be used to easily calculate billing hours. $1.50 | UNLIMITED UNITS: No limit to the number of units that can be added to your account. (Individual accounts have a maximum of 3). Don't let the monthly fee keep you from buying this device.... It's so worth it for the huge peace of mind. As a business owner - Locksmith Company, I honestly wish I had this 8 years ago when I started my business! You just don't understand the peace of mind this unit gives you - don't believe me try it. All in all DON'T GIVE UP ON THE SETUP OF YOUR WIFI. You will never know what your missing. JUST GET THROUGH THAT Part and make sure it sees internet from your driveway or wherever you have WIFI hotspots and your ALL SET!

Works...But Should Be WAY Better for the Cost
This App works...but its only marginally better than free apps. The first descriptor that comes to mind: underwhelming! First, the set up was unnecessarily difficult. The interface is OK but very limited. The reports are clunky and not very configurable. Tech support is the usual I'll email you back in a few days crap that has become endemic to tech support. Lastly, the answer I got from tech support was a lie. I wanted to move the centroid of my end-point radius so that the radius covered the desired area I was likely to park. Instead of telling me that it was not in the scope of the software I was told it was an IRS requirement. Bull! What this product does do right? They excel in working the sales channel in Amazon to be widely shown.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
I have tried a dozen mileage trackers and each of them had their pros and cons. I have been using Mileage Ace for a week now and am VERY UPSET that I didn't FIND THIS PRODUCT EARLIER!!! IT IS AMAZING!!! You can merge trips, which is priceless. With other apps, there are times where I stop to get gas or pick up something real quick and now I have 2, 3 or 4 trips sometimes with the same business purpose. Especially the apps that are tied to my Bluetooth in my car. If I lose Bluetooth connection then it doesn't realize I am in my car or if I lose Bluetooth connection for a minute, then it shows 2 separate trips. Now, I can merge all of the stops into a single trip (Just be sure to refresh the page after you merge!!!!) Mileage Ace doesn't have ANY of these issues, it is HYPER accurate and you can program in default locations and clients, which REALLY helps since I am a Realtor and can just set the seller's house as a saved destination with the default client and default purpose. This way, every time I go to their house, Mileage Ace AUTOMATICALLY logs it as business and attaches them as the client.......AMAZING!!!!

Good device, bad charging charging adapter and clunky initial setup
Mac User - Installed and reinstalled device link software, updated device link software... Kept "not responding" and had to force quit... Restarted Mac and reinstalled device link software and then updated before it finally recognized the device link software. Attempted to connect the device and it wouldn't recognize the device. Restarted, unplugged and replugged with different Mac USB port and cord, restarted, replugged... Nothing, submitted help ticket. When I plugged in the cigarette lighter charger it popped because it grounded out due to being faulty, I hope it didn't damage any of my wiring or fuses in my '21 ford ranger. Seems to be a bit of a hassle for a new and upgraded version of this device, it appears that this device is faulty and the manufacturing process has some significant flaws. I could be wrong and this could be a fluke. I will update review after customer service responds and if they fix the issue. I might just stick with MileIQ if this isn't resolved in an efficient manner, just seems like a hassle for a new product. *Update* Shortly after writing this review. The setup worked. I had to wait overnight to get the internal battery to die. When it asks for the device to be plugged in I had to plug it in then it wouldnโt recognize so I clicked retry and then unplugged and reinserted the micro usb cord the device in and it worked. It has worked well, it seems pretty accurate. The velcro it comes with is cheap but that doesnโt matter. When I plugged the cigarette lighter adapter into my truck it blew a fuse and Iโm pretty upset about that. The website and logging info is pretty simple to figure out and nothing too complicated but very useful. Overall, regardless of the usb adapter fuse thing, the cheap velcro, and initial setup shenanigans I will keep using this product as it seems to be connecting and tracking well. You can set destinations that you leave from that initiate different types of trips. Such as, leaving from a different part of the parking lot to initiate a company vehicle mileage trip, personal mileage, reimbursement/billed mileage or billing to a different client. If you need a device to upload every trip as soon as the trip is over or report live then go with the cellular version. This one may take a little while to upload, often immediately after getting him or while the truck is stopped (I have wifi in my vehicle), but itโs not for live tracking itโs for tracking the expense and trips for documentation. I can even take it out of the personal truck and use it in a company car and it will track where I drove, the miles etc. I like this product thus far and will update this review if things change in the short term. If it werenโt for the faulty USB and setup difficulty I would give this 5 stars.

One of a kind feature with the business/personal button
2 years update: Love this thing, pays for itself! No issues at all, no idea why the reviews are so bad. Yearly service fee is reasonable as well. I am two weeks in, this unit is really impressive. There is no other product offering the business/personal button. As a business owner that uses their personal vehicle for business, a huge $ reimbursement counts on me having accurate records of personal vs business miles. Quickbooks iOS app was decent, but I had to hand sort the trips monthly. This unit is just seamless, press the button when you get in the car. I love it so far.

Works fine. But the service is too expensive IMO
It's accurate, and it gives a nice tax report. But I'm not giving it 5 stars because after a year I'm not going to renew my subscription. It's just too damn expensive. I drive a Tesla now and I can get the same thing through Teslafi. You could really get the same thing running a Garmin GPS and having the diagnostic logging running all the time. It was nice how it'd upload the data everytime you were home over wifi. If you're fine with paying $160 for the service go for it, or your company pays for it, it'd work well for you.

Best mileage tracker available!
I have tried several different mileage trackers, but t his is by far the best one. The phone apps don't always work, especially if you forget to turn them on, and sometimes my car is driven by my wife or my mother and so all the miles don't get recorded. I've used the Mileage Ace for over a year now and love it! The report it produces at the end of the year is perfect and it is sooooo easy to maintain your records. The fact that it automatically uploads my trips makes it very simple. I just log on every few days and write in the reasons for my mileage. The button that switches between personal and business miles is also a fantastic feature, and if I make a mistake and forget to switch it, editing when I am logged in is a snap. I highly recommend the Mileage Ace. I was able to claim $11,000 in deductions last year, so the monthly fee is well, well worth it. I have a Prius and I mounted it on the lower part of the console so that I can see it and hit the button to switch between business and personal miles, but it is out of the way and right next to the power jack. Stop writing on paper or fooling around with phone apps and get the Mileage Ace, you will feel very smart that you did.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR..... FIND SOMETHING ELSE. NOT A GOOD PRODUCT, I SENT IN TO TAKE ME OFF THIS RECURRING PLAN, STILL CHARGED ME TO RE-UP ANOTHER 6 MONTH'S AFTER THAT. CONTACT ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS.. THESE EMAILS WERE FROM MAY 2019..... Mileage Ace Support <[email protected]> Fri, May 3, 2019, 12:50 PM to me Hello, We are sorry to here you are having an issue with your tracker. If it stops tracking during trips it is probably an issue with the GPS. The first thing to check is the location of the device in your vehicle. If the device cannot get a clear GPS signal it may interrupt a trip in progress. Try placing the tracker somewhere where it can get a clear view of the sky, like on the dashboard, during your trips to see if this fixes the problem. If this doesnโt work then it might be that the deviceโs GPS antenna is loose or damaged, and we will send you a replacement. Rubbish do not waste your money on it
I have tried I few mileage trackers so far, the last one was great but the company went through liquidation that is when I have ordered mileage ace. It does not record all the trips, after editing the trips adding purpose, choosing between personal or business use, I have saved it and than next time when I logged in it was all over the place again. It can not handle loading for a month of trips... I could not create report, so basically none of the functions they have charged me is actually working apart from taking the payment there is no issue there. So do not waste your money, it is impossible to get to customer service, even if they respond to an email they are not really helpful the service is still rubbish.

Amazon.ca is still sending old model.
Just received two of these for our small buisness and turns out Amazon.ca still has some of the old decommissioned ones. I contacted mileage ace directly and they are sending a new one. I minor hiccup in my opinion. These little units are amazing, accurate and small footprint makes them ideal for a mileage making buisness user. Tax time will be a breeze

Simple, reliable and easy to use.
Simple to set up. Works seamlessly without having to think about it. Been using it for a few years now, and the reporting has always been accurate and easy to download. The customer service from the manufacturer is awesome. Very fast and helpful.
