Knifes you must have

I love these knives. The multipurpose knife is good for slicing cheese as well as fruits and vegetables. Love the bread/meat knife. All my knives with a black handle does not go in a dishwasher. Kitchen Devil or Victorinox.

This is the second set of these knives I have had. The first set was given to me as a wedding present in 1980, sadly the blade of the carving/bread knife recently broke after 44 years of daily use. I was so pleased that I could find the same set to replace my favourite knives.

Very good value for money. These replaced my old kitchen devil knives and I'd had them for many years so hopefully these will last as long. Very sharp

This is a very good set of knives. I have combined it with a couple of cook knives to complete my knife drawer. The bread knife doubles up as a carving knife and both edges cut well. I am still getting used to it as it seems I have developed a habit of putting my forefinger in what would be the top edge of the knife while slicing bread, but with this knife, it is another sharp edge! The carving edge makes a good job of carving chicken and there is a forked end for spearing the slices and putting them on a plate. I love the small straight-edged knife in particular. It is perfect for slicing apples etc where a large knife is too cumbersome and dangerous. I'm not as keen on the little serrated knife. I don't like having to use a sawing action to get through fruit and veg. I prefer a smooth slicing action. Overall though, good value for money and they will last years. I am still using a bread knife bought over 30 years ago.
