I ordered 3 of these which were made in the USA. However, the first cap lasted 2 weeks for my AC fan. The second one also lasted 2 days. I put the last one in today. I expect them to last longer than the cheaper made in Mexico or China, but that's not the case. I know that the cap broke because every time I replaced it the fan worked.Update 8/10/2016: My AC stopped working again. I found out that the AC fan bearings had seized up causing the fan to stop, not a failed capacitor. I realized that the fan bearings had begun to fail in the past few weeks, and somehow when I changed the cap the fan operated again which misled me into thinking the cap was the cause. So I would like to change the rating to 5 stars!

So long as the MFD rating is correct, you’re perfectly fine to replace with a capacitor of a different brand, 440 is compatible with 370, but not the other way around. This 10MFd Oval measures at 10.97. Can’t beat USA made!

Made in USA. Replaced the old AmRad capacitor that was used for over 10 years in the air handler after it finally fell below the 10% threshold. I have purchased other AmRad capacitors in the past with great quality and success.

Replaced the 11yr old OEM and was back in operation.
