Great Strings...Excellent for Rock/Metal.
This is my review of both the the 10-48 and the 11-50 sets. I originally started with the 10-48 and was very satisfied with them. They installed as easily as any other strings I've used and really didn't take any longer or less time to settle in as far as stretching/staying in tune. The overall sound is clear and defined..nice and punchy as well. I've only used them so far on a Warmoth custom build..(Swamp ash body Pau Ferro neck with Bare Knuckle Juggernauts and a Wilkinson Trem bridge). They stay in tune and sounded great up until I pulled them off after about 6-7 months. I had a recent jam with a friend and I tuned this guitar down to D standard and also some drop C. In a live setting I did notice the 10-48 low string just didn't have quite the tension I like at D standard/drop C. I previously had primarily left this guitar in either E or E flat...10-48 worked fantastic and had good tension at those tunings. The clean sounds were excellent..almost piano like tone and had very good definition and grind under heavy gain. Mid gain sounds were great as well. No goofy overtones..just a good solid fundamental tone. I just did not find them tight enough at the D standard tuning. So I swapped them for the 11-50 set and could not be happier. Same great sound and now they have noticeably better tension. Up to the last year or so I've mostly used GHS Boomers or Blue Steels. I wanted to try some of the new strings out there..I've recently tried The Dunlops..the DR Dimebag 10-52 set and Ernie Ball LTHB. Compared to those I like the Dunlop Heavy Cores better. The DR Dimebags are very comparable and sound great..but they are a bit darker and did not retain their great sound as long as the Heavy Cores did. I just didn't like the Ernie's...very tinny to start and seemed a bit too bright. I also have some DR DDT's, but I have not tried them yet. I primarily play metal but spend time in everything from Rock/Blues..to Jazz as well. While I wouldn't slap these on a 335 or Arch top, anything Metal, Rock, or Blues I'd highly recommend them.

Put them in your cart now
Excellent I use these for an open a# tuning. Works great. They are like a mix of my 2 favorite brands (ernie ball and DR) the sound strings are like earnie balls and the rest like DR. very slinky and smooth. Perfect strings

Dunlop...pretty neat
Dunlop strings, you just can't go wrong with them. They last long and keep that bell like chime to them which is great when you're recording or playing live and they stay in tune even if you don't touch the guitar for a number of days. From acoustic to electric to bass strings, they've never let me down and they crush other brands that are twice their price. These are always my go to for the 15 years. They have a lot of gauges as well which is great if you have an arsenal of guitars or basses in different tunings. That's about it, if you want to spend double or triple the price for a set of strings, that's your call but Dunlop has never let me down.

Sounded good right out of the package
Nice sound right out of the pack, didn’t sound twangy like most do when new.

I should change to 1 star due to them tripling the price from 2 weeks ago.
I don’t haven’t had any of the issues that other reviewers have encountered. These string (11-50 heavy core) are awesome. I use them on 2 les pauls that I set up for D standard/drop C. Obviously personal preference is a factor, but using these for any tuning higher than that would make the strings either tight AF, and/or force overly high action. It should be noted that I was buying these locally until they stopped carrying them, But I’ve bought 3 sets on here and no problems. I had similar issues with ghs boomers that I got from here. Showed up with a nice kink in the middle of every string, so I don’t doubt the other reviews, just sharing my experience thus far.

These strings are great. I've used most brands (Ernie Ball
These strings are great. I've used most brands (Ernie Ball, D'addario, etc.) I always thought D'addario were best, and they still are fantastic strings, but can be pricey. I bought these on a whim, because i tune to D standard tuning a lot now, and they are rad. Stay nice and taught in this tuning, which is rare for the gauge. Highly recommend.

Buen producto
