Jaco Pastorius Bass Method Lessons, Tips, and Techniques from His Private Teaching Archives Bk/Online Audio

This book is full of extremely important and useful information, which aims to assist one in becoming a much better musician/bass player. The combination of theory and technique is great. The author should receive high praise for this release, as the content was taken directly from lesson plans he obtained while studying with Jaco. Really incredible to say the least! Anyone who is looking for insight into the brain of one of the greatest musicians of all-time will be very pleased. Highly recommend this book!

After just the first dozen pages, have already had a significant improvement in my bass playing..

Wrong item was sent, I received a book of violin music. Instead of the Jaco book. Which would be awesome if I played it. Maybe I should. But still would have liked to have the correct item.

I purchased this for my husband and he loves it. This book taught him a lot of great moves. Good investment.

Excellent, everything I wanted

Great book!

Very good product, the book is very complete, and nice for those with a high level playing bass. Unfortunately, you have no DVD on it, and the problem is that for playing harmonics on bass you have to find them. On the tab they are not clear where they are unless someone explains to you or you take a lot of personal time. This book is very good if your level is high, but due to the difficulty of the songs played, it would be nice to have a video Showing you the exact place where to find the difficult harmonics.

Great introduction to the styles and methods of jaco with online downloadable exercises

Great insight into a true genius .

Though some of the examples are only short riffs, the over all coverage of Jaco's style and library of examples is in depth and I look forward to months/years of study.

Premetto che l'ho iniziato e dopo tre pagine di esercizi ho dovuto accantonarlo per dedicarmi all'altro libro che avevo preso insieme a questo, per mancanza di tempo: Cercherò di riprenderlo nel periodo estivo. E' un libro eccezionale, contraddistinto dagli esercizi che lo stesso Pastorius eseguiva. Non è facile e non è per principianti. Serve un pò di pratica prima di approcciarsi ad esso e molta pazienza nell'afforntare gli esercizi. Anche in questo libro vi è un link dove si possono si ascoltare che scaricare le tracce e lavorare su di esse. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti quelli che hanno un minimo di dimistichezza con il basso.
