I purchased Dad, I Want to Hear Your Story for my dad for Christmas, and it has already been such a special experience. We sat down and completed a few pages together to get him excited, and it created such meaningful conversation. I can’t wait to visit him again soon to see how much he’s filled out and to learn more about his life, memories, and story. This is a great gift idea for parents. I got them for both of my parents, as did my husband for his. my mom, is a writer. She loves writing, and she loves reminiscing about the past. She started filling this out the day after I gave it to her for Christmas. I’d say she had most it filled out within a week! And then she started my dad’s! Lol. My dad has Parkinson’s, so writing can be very difficult for him, especially something like this. His memory is also not the best, so my mom figured she could write it for him, and help him remember some of these memories. She’s known him since she was 12, I’d say she knows quite a bit about him! I can’t wait till one day read over them. I had seen for these books on Facebook, but they were so expensive. I knew I could probably easily find them on Amazon cheaper. Sure enough, I did! Way cheaper! And they are the exact same books! I highly recommend these for your parents. It’s fun for them to look back at their lives, and it’s fun for us to take a peek into their lives.

My dad was surprised and touched that I got him this. He and I are close and he isnt old by any means but he does think about what will happen when he passes. I've seen him writing in it on occasion and I know it'll help him be at peace leaving behind something like this.

There are a lot of simple but really good questions for your father to fill out and I can't wait to give this to my father so I know a bit more about him and his past. If you have or had a relationship with your father where you don't talk much, this is a great way to get to know him a bit better. Excellent book! It's a good size with insightful questions. I gave it to my Dad and he seemed very happy. Hopefully he will write down the memories from his life so we can enjoy it for years to come.

I purchased the extended hard cover version. The book is good quality and a good size too. Lots of great questions, my dad was very happy to recieve this and I really am looking forward to learning more about my dad.
