Fox 40Pearl Safety, White

I am a referee, and I use the pearl when there are other games ongoing cost to mine. The pearl gives off a different tone than traditional Fox 40s, and helps players distinguish your whistle from others in the area

I'm a volleyball referee. I do a lot of matches at larger high schools in my area, tons of club matches, and I'm starting to work some college matches. Most officials go with a Fox 40 whistle. Black is preferred fir high school, white for college, and white or other colors for club. I prefer the lower tone of the Pearl, since it is just as loud as the Classic, but the lower pitch makes it easier for players to distinguish your whistle, when you have many courts side-by-side.

I bought 3 whistlesI One for each of my family. My wife works downtown some evenings and I feel better with her having some sort of protection since our state (IL) has yet to allow CCW permits. I was concerned about the volume of a ball-less whistle but if you give a good puff, it makes a loud, clear whistle.

Awesome whistle, sounds just different enough from people using the Fox 40 classic which is the most pervasive whistle in my state for soccer referees.Like the fact that it comes in white so I can see it on the ground easier than black.

We kayak in areas that require boaters to wear a whistle. So, we bought two of these and they are perfect for our needs. We tied them to our pfds.They are well made and LOUD. I expect them to last until we lose them :)

I get weird looks because of the lower tone of the whistle. May not be as loud, but easily gets people's attention, making it perfect for lifeguards!

The Fox 40 remains, for me at least, the "go to" in outdoor signalling. It is clear, powerful, and fail safe.You can get it wet, and on more than one occasion I have fallen on it or dropped things on it and had it still come out blasting.These ones I ordered were to replace ones I lost and gave away as gifts. I have yet to have one fail me or break under normal use (sure, if you hit it with a rock the right way...)I HIGHLY recommend them for people heading into the outdoors for any reasons (if you need to be found, they are easier than yelling and can be heard farther away), for people building emergency kits (put two in your kit; one to give to someone else so you can signal one another), and any task you need a LOUD whistle for.

The whistle works very well. My only concern is the price. I found the same whistle in a local store for about $3.00
