Not good if you have potassium restrictions.
The recipes in here are wonderful . but if you have potassium restrictions there aren't too many usuable recipe's. I was saddened by that. But overall it is a great recipe book.

Great resource for CKD
I donated a kidney and was diagnosed with stage 3 CKD a couple years later. This guide has been very helpful and encouraging on a proactive plan. Thank you!

Print too light & too small.
I bought this book as a gift. The recipient, who wears eyeglasses, complained that the print on the pages was very light and difficult to read. On top of that, the print size itself was very small. Now she is trying to find the right type of a page magnifier to read the book by. We are both very dissatisfied!

Information on Chronic Kidney Disease with Recipes
Chronic Kidney Disease is a silent killer as you can suddenly find you've lost 90% of your kidney function and have very few symptoms. But when things get worse you need a team of helpers to manage the diseases. This book also explains the basics like dialysis. I felt this book was very compassionately written and it helped me understand the stage of CKD I'm in now. This book also has lots of recipes. It also tells you what types of foods you should be eating. Some of the recipes I look forward to trying include: Baked Apples, Garlic Rosemary Sauce, Creamy Basil Vinaigrette Dressing and Kale and Apple Coleslaw. The recipes are low sodium and use things like lemon juice, garlic powder and fresh herbs for flavor. So a useful guide and fun recipes.~The Rebecca Review
