Not one inch thick.
This product is misrepresented. It is NOT one inch thick. We would not have purchased this if the correct dimensions were shown. We are placing a treadmill on this mat and was specifically looking for a Thicker mat. Please fix the dimensions in the product description. It is about 1/8 inch thick.

A great solution for a rower!
I originally started out looking for a rubber mat for my new rower. I initially rejected a PVC mat.My criteria were as follows.....1.) Protect a basement carpet over cement floor from physical wear due to exercise equipment.2.) Protect the carpet from sweat since a rower is a cardio machine I'd use in lieu of a treadmill and I sweat like a horse.3.) Easy to clean with a hose and a bucket of soap and water.4.) Non-slip so the rower doesn't scoot off the mat in an intense workout.5.) Also non-slip in regard to the mat staying put where I place it on the carpet. My initial rejection of PVC was based on PVC mats generally being thinner than rubber mats. I thought the 1/4" or 1/2" thickness of rubber would provide cushioning. Then I realized that sinking into the mat may not be a good idea. Also, PVC mats look sort of shiny and I equated that with slippery. So I looked and looked for a rubber mat. One issue was weight. Rubber mats weigh maybe 2-3X what a PVC mat weighs. Another issue was price. Rubber mats can be 3X the price of an equivalent size PVC mat. And lastly, I was having trouble finding a rubber mat that would fit under my rower which is 82" long and requires about 3' of width to protect the floor from sweat. The rubber mats all seemed to be either too small or too large and therefore really expensive. Then, in my search, I came across this Supermats PVC product that was exactly the right size at 36" X 90". That is the perfect width and gives me about 4" beyond each end of the rower. It provides the needed protection to the floor without taking up more floor space than necessary. Supermats markets this thing as a treadmill mat but it's perfect for my rower. The price was also reasonable at $40. I relented and figured I'd give PVC a try.So how did it work out? Excellent! I wasn't encouraged when I initially took it out of the box. But I unrolled it and laid it down. It took a few days for it to lay flat after I spread some weighted objects around to help it flatten out. No big deal. Then I tried the "slip test". I tried getting my rubber soled running shoes to slip on the top. Nothing doing, my shoes stuck like glue. Next I tried to see if I could get the mat to slip on the carpet. Again, nothing doing, it stuck like glue. So, I put the rower on it and worked out on the rower for a couple of days. The machine stayed put. No detectable movement at all. I guess shiny does not equal slippery after all.For my needs this seems like a perfect choice. The size, protection, stickiness, and price all meet my requirements. So where does this mat maybe fall short? Well, if you're on a wooden floor or maybe even concrete with people below you, the additional cushioning of a 1/4" or 1/2" of rubber could be a real benefit to the poor people under your floor. This PVC mat is thin at maybe 1/8". And the PVC is hard. There is basically no cushioning to speak of. None of that is a problem for me on a basement floor of carpet over concrete.

Does not live up to its description
This treadmill mat is advertised as a "super-tough, durable" mat that uses "commercial grade solid construction." Unfortunately, I find the exact opposite to be the case. I've only been using this mat under our new treadmill for two weeks, and the treadmill legs have already made such deep indentations in it that it is paper thin under them, and there are now severe indentations in our carpet that the mat was placed on to protect.I am extremely disappointed in this mat.

They’re gonna short you
It’s only 35 inches wide. I needed 36 inches. Don’t buy, they’re obviously trying to save money by shorting an inch.

FAST!!!
This mat arrived the day after I ordered it. Heavy duty, and heavy, but thin and dense, not cushion-y. We just had a new wood floor laid and wanted a new mat for my Solo F80 treadmill since the other one was kinda grungy. It laid out flat and was easy to move around to position, but when I moved treadmill onto it it stayed put. It's just about 6" too long, but since the front end of treadmill is against a window wall, I just curled it under. It is wide enough, but need to make sure that you move treadmill onto it and stay centered, because there's only about an inch on either side of the front wheels to edge of mat. Looks good, and easy to wipe clean. Do not have extensive run time on treadmill to see how it holds up, seems sturdy but we'll see how it holds up as time passes.

Bought Two of These and They're Different
Hmmmm.... I bought 2 of them to put in the same exercise room and they're different. One has a nice shiny finish on it and the other is very dull looking. Definitely look like different mats but are from the same seller. They're not thick much less than 1" thick. My recumbent bike and Bowflex Max Trainer show divot marks where the feet are on both of them. Don't know if this will cause a problem long term but was really trying to order something thick and sturdy enough to prevent this problem.

Stinks and is very thin
Very thin and it smells awful. People that stated it does not smell must not have a very good sense of smell!!’

Great -- Heavy Duty Protection!!
I've had a recumbent bike on my carpet for years and just decided to add a Gazelle Glider to my home gym. Wanted to give the carpet a little more protection, so I ordered two of these mats. They came rolled up into a slim tube (each in it's own box) and I thought it would take forever to get them to lay flat. Nope -- they unrolled very smoothly. There was a slight curve at the ends for a couple of days but it flattened out. They are heavy -- but I was able to wrangle them into place. They seem to stay put from what I can see so far. Glad I bought these!!

Low profile & doesn't smell!
This mat is low profile and can roll up like a yoga mat when not in use. I have it under my treadmill in our TV room and it's not obnoxiously large or thick like some of the foam mat options. It fits my Nordic Track L 6.0S treadmill perfectly. While running the treadmill and mat stay in place on hardwood. I'm also pleasantly surprised that it doesn't smell, I fully expected that I would have to air this out for a few days, but I unpacked it and immediately started using it without any unpleasant odour.

Not thick, but sturdy
The mat is not as thick as the picture try to show - there is no beveled edge. But it was thick enough that with an exercise bike on it, on top of a regular residential carpet, there are minimal indentations. This would be best where permanently in place - you wouldn't want to be rolling it up very often.

Prompt delivery and certainly appears to be heavy duty. Just laid it under the treadmill and will start pounding it tomorrow.Day 1 - fully satisfied. Will update this review in the future if my opinion changes.
