Perfect gift
This was a wonderful Christmas gift, and has kept the recipient entertained for hours. I like how compact the works are, but they are definitely in big enough print to avoid eye strain (assuming you don't require large print books on the regular!). I would recommend this to any Shakespeare fan, or anyone looking to brush up on the classics.

Love the book, hate the small print
I use to have this in several books. While I love Shakespeare, this book is very large because all his writings are in the one book. For those of us with poor eyesight it may be difficult to read even with reading glasses. The print is very small.

The Works as a Reference Well
This was the kindle edition. I found it remarkably versatile to refer to when away from the home library, or as a play is unfolding on television following along to see how close to the original the modern production comes. The table of contents lays out the Sonnets, then the plays, such that one can navigate to each scene rather than having to page through the entire play. But, I found to search the contents require turning each page to get the play you want, which was cumbersome.

Amazing book set
One of the greatest wordsmiths in existence, and a terrific source of imagination and plot. This is a must for one who loves to read, and also for those who love the theatre. The book is cloth-bound and is beautiful. The cover case is gorgeous and keeps dust off the pages. Currently reading it.

A great read
I am proud to say that I have read every single published work of Shakespeare. With the help of this book, I was able to experience all of the comedies, tragedies, histories, sonnets and poems of the bard. The fun part is that when you read Shakespeare, the things that happen in the play start happening in real life.

This does not contain the complete works, and may not be a legal reproduction.
This product is not the complete works, or at least not what you would assume to be the complete works. It is a printing of various William Shakespeare content form Project Gutenberg. It contains sonnets 1 - 154, and "Alls Well That Ends Well". There's no title page, no publisher information, etc.My favorite excerpt, which can be found in multiple places:"<<THIS ELECTRONIC VERSION OF THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE IS COPYRIGHT 1990-1993 BY WORLD LIBRARY, INC., AND IS PROVIDED BY PROJECT GUTENBERG ETEXT OF ILLINOIS BENEDICTINE COLLEGE WITH PERMISSION. ELECTRONIC AND MACHINE READABLE COPIES MAY BE DISTRIBUTED SO LONG AS SUCH COPIES (1) ARE FOR YOUR OR OTHERS PERSONAL USE ONLY, AND (2) ARE NOT DISTRIBUTED OR USED COMMERCIALLY. PROHIBITED COMMERCIAL DISTRIBUTION INCLUDES BY ANY SERVICE THAT CHARGES FOR DOWNLOAD TIME OR FOR MEMBERSHIP.>>"At least it was cheap. I'll regift it to my friends with non-uniform table legs.
