This is a very good product
I make turmeric powder from the root. I mix this with my powdered turmeric. I put it in capsules along with a healthy oil, coconut oil or almond oil to get all the benefit of the turmeric, it worked well

Miracle Product!
Unbelievable stuff! Decreases depression! That is a God-send, in and of itself. But wait, there's more! Reduces inflammation! Helps with my allergies as a result--my sinuses don't swell and make me miserable with a crippling headache. How beneficial is that! Diminishes gas and bloating in the stomach and intestinal tract. I sleep better when I take this product! Adds to me in everyway! Brain functioning is a hundred times calmer, yet, quicker. This is a product that is almost too good to be true--but it is true! Some studies indicate that its anti-inflammatory properties makes it a therapeutic answer to a number of human disease, including cancer. I don't have cancer. But that is from several studies. This product from BulkSupplements is perfect. You don't have the capsules to constrain you. Having it in bulk is the best way to go--this pure orange product is a miracle worker! Except it does stain your clothing, so act accordingly--unless you want orange shirts. I looked up the side effects online. Nothing to be concerned about. In fact, there aren't any to speak of. You can mix it with milk--but I warn you it does not mix well cold or even at room temperature. It sticks to the spoon and hardens. Don't waste it that way. I had to heat the milk and Pure Curcumin in the microwave for 30-55 seconds to get it to mix. Then I added vanilla favored yogurt from whole milk (Brown Cow product, which I love) and some coconut oil and a dash of pepper--because pepper helps this product to be absorbed better by the body. The heat does not diminish the effectiveness. This is like a warm hot-toddy that you drink just before bed. Unbelievable sleep. My joints don't give me as much of a problem since taking this product. I feel energized, to boot! My bowels function regularly. Why did I not know about this years ago? Next, I want to try BulkSupplements Pure Micronized Creatine Monohydrate Powder and their Bulksupplements Pure Caffeine Capsules (200 mg) (300 vegetarian capsules). This company did well with this product, I am assuming the same with the others in their line--the reviews of all three are outstanding.

Great for my upper back pain, cost effective if you buy the larger bag
My Story:I've been buying turmeric supplements online, but they weren't strong (they didn't have 95% curcuminoids listed on the bottle, and I was too ignorant about curcumin at the time to look for it; I think it was really just turmeric powder in capsules). The first time I took the BulkSupplements curcumin extract (I think it was 1/4 tsp.), my body got really warm 20 minutes later. That was the only time I had that reaction, though, and now I don't get warm from it.Within a few days of taking it, the pain in my upper back muscles was significantly reduced (and I've had this pain for a year and a half, pretty much daily, and I've tried many things to ease it).I ran out two days ago, though, and the past few days I have felt the back pain again, but I am also in the middle of a candida cleanse, so my inflammation level is high right now, and I was also trying to make my 25 g. free sample last longer, so some days I only took 500-900 mg. or so, and that wasn't enough to take away the pain, I guess.Nitty Gritty Dosing Details:I just ordered the 250 gram bag, and that will allow me to take the high enough doses that I need to feel relief in my back (between 1/2 tsp and 3/4 tsp a day divided into two doses, which is 1,500 mg--2,000 mg--I use 5-6 scoops a day of a spoon that is 1/8th tsp), and it will probably last 4-5 months.Fun Absorption Facts:To increase the absorption of the curcumin, I usually cook with it, using a bit of coconut oil (Medium Chain Triglycerides are the best fats to cook with turmeric/curcumin, like coconut oil or coconut milk--which serves double duty since coconut oil is also an anti-fungal, and I'm on the candida cleanse).I also bought black pepper extract pretty cheaply from Source Naturals, and I take one of those tablets 30 minutes before my curcumin meal to further assist the absorption process, because I read that bioperine increases the bio-availability of curcumin by 2000% or something.Beware of staining:The mess factor and the stain factor are to be considered, though--I am really neat by nature, and even I have had bright yellow stains pop up on my mouth, pillowcases, fingers, shirtsleeves, counters, sponges, dish brushes, etc. I might encapsulate them with my own machine one day, to eliminate the staining and help if I am traveling, but for now, I like being able to cook it with the coconut oil, and I just live with minor stains.Economical musings:It's the most cost-effective option of curcumin that has 95% curcuminoids, even when you factor in the coconut oil and black pepper extract, but only if you buy the 250 gram bag, so hopefully I just have to buy 3 bags a year, which is a total of $210 with free shipping (I have Prime). I would have to spend over $20-30 a month on capsules to get the same result, and the capsules have fillers, too.

and I love the economy that this bulk powder provides
This Bulk Supplements curcumin product is a confidence-inspiring deep orange color, has almost no taste, and I love the economy that this bulk powder provides. In general, supplements in powder form are much more economical than in pill form, since you're paying only for the raw material and not for the pilling process. While it has many benefits, I personally take curcumin because of its purported ability to mobilize an immune response that helps clear from brain tissue the amyloid plaque that has been associated with degenerative cognitive diseases such as Alzheimer's. I take it in combination with Vitamin D, which mobilizes a separate but related immune response to create a synergistic response greater than the sum of the parts. Since curcumin has a naturally low gut absorption, I take it with a little fat (coconut milk, olive oil, fish oil, butter, etc) along with a brand name black pepper extract, both of which can significantly increase cucumin absorption through the gut.The only drawback to keep in mind about any brand of curcumin powder is that it stains and doesn't mix easily with water. There's a few ways around this. I normally use a shaker jar to combine all my morning powders, then shake and drink, but with curcumin, I slowly take a 1/2 teaspoon of the powder in my mouth being careful not to spill any of the powder, then take a bit of water, swish around and swallow. A more straightforward way is to simply add it to a smoothie/shake, which I've done without adversely affecting flavor or consistency.
