Works as described.
Came very quick, seems to work very well. Only did a trial run of 1 bottle to make sure it worked. Didn't get stuck in the bell as some other reviews mentioned, again I only capped 1 bottle so far. Make sure if you get the 29mm bell for capping you also get the 29mm caps!

European capper for European (large format- 750 mL) beer bottles
This European capper useful for European (Belgian, Italian) large format (750 mL) heavy beer bottles. It will screw on to two handed red plastic and metal capper. Usual capper available in U.S.A.- red, 2-handled plastic-and-metal capper, is smaller diameter American beer bottle capper. Smaller diameter metal capper will screw off this device, allowing this larger European metal replacement to screw on. Thus modified, this now takes larger diameter European bottle caps. May be easier to use this with European capper by placing filled 750 mL bottle on floor, stand over bottle with sanitized cap placed, center 2-handed capper over bottle, then apply pressure to both arms smoothly, stopping after first big "give".

Doesn't fit European Bottles?
So recently I made a trip to my local home brew shop and bought one of these. They told me they got theirs from China, when I brought it back because of issues. I bought this one since it said Red Barron Capper (which I have) and I was hoping this was made from the original manufacturer. It looks like the same one I got from my home brew shop with a horizontal seam (from the mold it was cast in) which doesn't appear in the picture listed here. (I'm guessing this is the stock one the capper comes with) Also, the bell looks straight for a longer portion (in the middle) of the cap and the bottom seam (opposite the threading) doesn't sit flush like it does with the stock one. Both the one I got from my home brew shop and the one I bought here have these issues/features.So with the standard size bell housing, the base of the bell can compress against the top of the lip of the bottle. Then when you're done it slides off fairly easily. With this housing, the cap gets too tight too quickly. If you press it down all the way, the bottle (cap and all) tend to get stuck in the bell housing. So why not try to just go half way? Because I'm not sure if the cap is properly sealed at that depth and I lost carb on a few bottles that way.So when I brought this up at my home brew shop I had to go through about 10 to find one that didn't get stuck as often, sadly I can't do this online.I reuse bottles from the Bruery, who import them from Germany. I had the thought that maybe it's just my bottles, but I tested this on a Belgium bottle of Stella Artois (Bottled in Belguim) and had the same issue. So two European bottles from two sources with both the same issue. ::sigh:: It's also probably not worth trying to ship back for a return since shipping cost me just as much as the actual product. Bottom line this bell housing isn't from Red Barron, it just fits their product (but not the bottles).

I crown cap seal messages in bottles containing an inner as yet uncured epoxy syntactic foam neck fill. messy. This bell is a crimp champion and survivor!

Necessary for 29mm Capping
This housing is necessary to cap champagne-style bottles with 29mm caps. It’s threaded and easily interchangeable with the standard 26.5mm housing that comes with most beer making kits. Beyond swapping out the housing, all you need to do is to reverse the metal crimping plates located at the bottom of the capper. My capper plates were conveniently marked with 26.5 and 29mm designations so it was easy to see and confirm their rotation.

Not a 29mm capper
This is not a 29mm capper. Does not have a crown for the large 29mm cappers. Description is not correct at all with the image. I thought I bought just the 29mm bell. No, this is the standard 26mm bell.
