This is the best leash ever. I bought this two years ago and it just snapped....you'd think oh that's terrible ..no. my dog has pulled me in so many directions and lunges for squirrels and deer. I'm surprised it lasted two years. I just bought another one and I bet it lasts her whole life. I think after 3 years of age she may calm down but...lol. anyway this is a must buy. I went to the pet store after this one snapped and got a cheap one just to get me through the day. I truly missed this leash. Thank God I just got it delivered in one day. I can't say enough about it.

Maybe I just had a one off bad leash but from the start the leash was not running freely and after only 4 months (and it is not used frequently as my pup is mainly off leash and when on the leash he is gentle and does not pull) it yesterday completely snapped. A clean break looks like something inside the mechanism that it was getting caught on finally sawed through the leash.It seemed like poor quality to me and really not up to the task.Update to my review: I reached out to the company who were very happy to send me a replacement under the warranty. The replacement arrived very quickly and I cannot fault the customer service and a company that is prepared to stand behind their product. Hoping that the leash works out well.

This was the first leash that I ever bought for my first dog and it's the most perfect leash in the world. It never gets tangled, it's incredibly durable, and has such a smooth release to the leash itself. It's much more comfortable to hold than a regular leash and the lock/unlock system is seamlessly placed near my thumb so that I can constantly loosen or lock the leash whenever my dog is sniffing something she shouldn't be.Overall, a flawless design. It even comes with an added "gift" where you can add about a foot or so of "extra" leash that dogs can "destroy" — not actually, but it's given to you so that you can use that part of the leash to get chewed on if they're learning how to be leash-trained. That way, when they're eventually trained, you'll be able to throw that part away and the rest of your actual leash won't be chewed up and destroyed.Overall, such a great product and the color is nice too! We love it! The only downside is that the skinniest part of the handle isn't great for carabiners or poop bag holders. There should be a small loop that can hold those things, but it's not a huge deal. We used the "extra" leash that they gave us and tied it to the end of the handle (in our picture). That seems to do the trick!

Wow! I didn’t realize that we had been using this retractable leash since August 2020! We have a 75 lbs Olde English Bulldog and never had a problem with his until last week when he got it caught around a fire hydrant. The hydrant had a small chain that caused the cord to rip just a bit. But the cord is very well used and I have washed and used Lysol disinfectant spray, etc on the cord. I have been extremely happy with the purchase. Ordering my next one now!

We ordered this leash in 2020 for our 60lb pit/cow who is quite the puller. It has a little bit of edge fraying here and there that we’ve just burned off to seal it, but otherwise it has been the best leash I’ve ever used. Well worth the $20 we paid for it. The fraying is probably our fault anyway. The lock still functions beautifully even after 3 years, it retracts smoothly, and it feels just as sturdy, reliable & comfortable now as it did when we bought it (with a few added scuffs and whatnot). I highly recommend it. You just can’t beat the quality.

I have a 60lbs dog, he doesn't tug horribly, but I have to remind him to stop pulling my arm. So I tug him back. Their has been plenty of other times where he wanted to chase something and got a bit more aggressive and the lease still works great. Only issue I have is the poop bag clip that hold it to the leash is laughable. The slightest braze against your close or your young kids head and it goes flying. I got a Velcro strap to solve this problem. Now my kid really gets good goose eggs

I was initially apprehensive to purchase a retractable leash. Even though my fur baby is small, she likes to bolt and chase after squirrels and rabbits in the neighborhood, and I'm always afraid she'll run into the street in front of a passing car. The brake and lock on this leash are incredibly effective and have held without fail. The brake is quickly responsive when I don't have the lock on and the retractable feature allows my pup extra length, when it's safe, for her to freely roam at a greater distance. She's much happier and acts up less on walks than previously. I'd highly recommend this leash!

Great Product. Two Years and Still Going!!! I use it for my 85 Pound German Shepherd Dog. The leash material is starting to fray but I believe this is just normal wear and tear. I will purchase a replacement soon. My dog likes to roam and this gives him the ability to roam but stay "legal" with the leash laws in my area.

I have a RIDICULOUSLY strong staffie! She’s not the biggest but can shred virtually any toy without fail and if she sees a cat on a walk or someone we know you best believe she’s pulling (working to get this under control, as she was a rescue we have only had for a few months:)) and she has previously snapped two extendable leads, one within the first use of it so I tried this due to the amazing reviews! And I will never go back, it hasn’t frayed, snapped or anything despite her strength and is super comfortable to hold (also a lush colour!) would highly recommend!:)

The media could not be loaded.  Fantastic lead! It's lightweight but strong. My dog, Tiger (pictured here) is a strong boy, and nearly pulled out my partners arm when he tried running down the lake, but the lead didn't snap at all! Every other lead I've had has snapped or stopped working, especially the retractable ones.It looks nice, it's lengthy, the buttons to let it loose, hold and lock in place are great too, so fluid and simple. It even came with a spare lead if my dog were to destroy the current one! 10/10 would buy this again but I don't think I'll need to as its so good 😁😁😁

This lead was amazing while it worked but unfortunately snapped at the top yesterday while walking our Dachshund he isn’t a massive dog and well within weight for This style lead. Luckily my daughter managed to catch him in time as he is a sprinter! Such a shame as it is only around 2 months old and I expected it to last a little longer. I do wonder if we were just unlucky and it was faulty.

Absolutely appalled with this product, I used it for the first time ever today with on my 9kg dog. The lead was straight out of the packet, I only Walked around 5 minutes before the lead decided to snap into two without my dog pulling or chewing at it at all.Luckily I attached the extra extension so I had something to walk my dog home with!Is there anyway I can send back the lead because it broke?

I have to give this leash a five star review. While waking our puppy my husband dropped the leash which startled the puppy who then took off running for her life thinking something was chasing her. She dragged it probably 300ft before it somehow detached from her harness (thank goodness). The leash mechanism kept catching on branches and would then catapult towards her reinforcing her fear that a monster was chasing her. My husband said he hasn't run that fast in his life. In the end the leash still works great and has some abrasions from dragging on the ground. Definitely 5 stars for durability. Update: it is now June 2022 and the leash will no longer retract. It is stuck at the current length. Also, the leash itself has frayed... Probably why it's stuck in place
