Q: Is there any way to keep them in the bottom of my fistank?

Boil them for 30 min they will sink all the way down

Q: Will these turn the aquarium water brown?

I let all 4 of mine soak in hot tap water for 4-5 days while changing the water multiple times per day then the last time I changed the water I let them soak an additional day to dechlorinate the tap water before putting them in my tanks. The Water was yellowish brown for quite a few days but eventually it started to clear up. Two of them floated for quite a few days before sinking but beware these may be 7-8" long (barely) they are very small in diameter! Way smaller than I was expecting!

Q: one of the 3 pieces is growing grey ish fuz. is it normal?

it depends how it looks like, but yes cholla wood develops a bit of fuz especially if not boiled prior to be put in the tank, or it can be the beginning of black beard algae BBA.

Q: What is the difference between the original version and the new version?

Hopefully the quality of the product got better and it isnt as dirty.
