Best saw ever
This has to be the best hand saw I have ever brought👍👍👍I like the sharpness of the blades both sides.I really like that you get different teeth on the sides of the blade.I really really like that you could interchange the blade as you can release the blade with a press of a button then pull the blade out.I like the flex of the blade it’s easy to cut flat to a surface.I like how easy it was and is to get a straight cut.I have seen so many vids with carpenters using this type of saw and now I understand why.👍👌If you like my review please press the helpful button..

Wow! What a difference this makes.
I'd seen various YouTuber's recommending this saw and decided to try it given that we have some firewood that has been sitting around for a couple of years. Hated trying our saws on that, really hard work to get through even a single piece. With this saw, once you've adapted to the way it works, sawing is a breeze! And it produces an incredibly clean cut. However, you do need to adapt the way you saw things. The saw cuts on the PULL not the push and you need to not put pressure on the saw when pushing otherwise it will flex very easily and so jam. Even when pulling, you don't need to put any really downward pressure, the saw will cut well without that effort.Having the two different saw sizes on the 1 device is also a real time saver and lets you quickly switch even on the same piece of wood which can be useful when cutting tree branches. The shape makes the saw very easy to use.It also makes some very nice sounds :-)

Great saw.
This is my second pull saw by Irwin, I already have the smaller dovetail saw, and it lives up to all my expectations. As so many reviewers of pull saws say I wish I’d known about and started using pull saws years ago. The kerf is very fine and the finish excellent. The saw is so easy to use and get good straight cuts with. This particular saw feels well balanced and comfortable in the hand. The blade comes apart from the handle making the saw small enough to fit in an 18” tool bag for transport. I can’t see myself using a traditional Western push saw again anytime soon, if ever again. I will be purchasing a complete set of Pull Saws as soon as possible and donating my Western style push saws to someone else.

I'm sold on Japanese saws, although only had a small flush cutting one to start with. Can't justify the real thing at the moment so the Irwin range is a reasonable alternative, albeit without the Japanese aesthetic. Only had limited use up to now but it's obvious that it will do a good job. Also has the practical advantage of having an easily detachable handle so can be easily and safely stored/transported. I have since purchased the 'tenon' saw version, with the shaped handle, which is also excellent.Usual advice applies - pull for the cut and do not put pressure on the push, let the saw do the work. Plenty of know how on You Tube. Blades are fragile - very thin, and the teeth hardened, that's why you can get such clean, accurate cuts.I see questions / comments about the non availability of replacement blades for Irwin saws. It's economics - the handles are relatively inexpensive plastic, so there would be very little difference in the price of a new saw and a replacement blade. The blade on these saws accounts for most of the price, the handle is almost just 'thrown in'.

Super star addition to your tool box
Don't know how I managed with out one for this long. It is so accurate and sharp for making flush cuts it will make your woodworking much more efficient and enyojable. I have only used the fine edge and there seems nothing I can't do with that side.Handle detatches from blade to help with storage.NOTE: it is *VERY VERY VERY* sharp. If guiding with fingers take great care as it will tear chunks easily (been there...). Press very lightly between the fine/coarse wide flat part of the blade where it says "IRWIN" to keep it flat to the surface you are cutting flush to and it will do the job better than anything else.
