Eclectic Motherwort O, Red, 2 Fluid Ounce

Great Quality Product, I have been buying from Eclectic for awhile now and I am never disappointed. As a long-time and experienced user of various herbs, most are best utilized in a tincture, tea or infusion form rather than dried. Motherwort is known to be strong and bitter— which is one of the reasons it is recommended in tincture form as the tea is very bitter. For those people who are inexperienced users, a tincture should generally be taken with water, not applied directly in your mouth, as per the label. If the taste is too much, more water. I suspect the users complaining of taste put it directly in their mouth. Also, I always start with just a few drops (5-10 drops) rather than full recommended dose of any new herb or tincture and wait to see how it makes me feel. Some find it can make one a little sleepy which makes it great for bedtime or those wee hour wakeups due to excess adrenaline and hormonal imbalances which can cause insomnia. Calming herb for menopausal and endocrine (and adrenal) support. Also considered to be a reverse-dependency herb, which means over time, you will find less of a need for it. Having suffered from extreme hormonal imbalances due to menopause which resulted in severe insomnia and anxiety, motherwort has been a life-saver for me. I also like this particular strength. Not all tinctures are the same dilution/ratio, so check your label for the ratio. This is 1:2. I pair this with Eclectic organic skullcap for the middle of night wakeups and it works wonderfully to calm and help me get back to sleep. I keep it on my nightstand pre-diluted in an espresso-sized or slightly larger cup of water. HIGHLY recommend.

This is one of my favorite brands of motherwort, and it has worked great in helping to resolve rapid heart rate brought on by hyperthyroidism. For a minute, I had to stop purchasing it and switch to another brand because the price had risen substantially, but now I see it's more in line with the previous cost, so I'm back.

I began using liquid motherwort about 4 months ago for painful menses. While looking for natural pain relief (not wanting the pill or way too many ibuprophen each month), I stumbled upon this product. I take 2 half droppers of it in 1/2 c.warm water every few hours when the pain begins, and it reduces noticeably. I'm thrilled, I'm relieved, and I'm going to reorder now. :-) I do also take a capsule of evening primrose and a B-100 daily throughout the month for this same issue.

This motherwort works better than any other motherwort I've used. I've tried several brands, this one seems to work effectively to calm my nerves without needing very much extract.

This stuff is harsh, and it isn't the Motherwort itself - it's the alcohol. I've gone back to a low-alcohol product.
