Allures & Illusions 6 Inch Portable Blacklight - Handy and Lightweight

I wasn't expecting much given the reviews but mine was ok.As most reviewers that got one that worked noted, the blacklight is pretty dim. Its usable at very close range (like a few inches). You're not going to light up anything farther away than that.The flashlight part is actually better than I thought it would be. Its not well focused but it will light your way for a few feet in the dark.I actually bought this as a blacklight bulb tester. Since I had ordered some bulbs from another supplier with many complaints of bad bulbs, I wanted to test them before installing them in my Megacatch. It worked for that purpose so I'm happy.

I work security at a nightclub and needed a UV light for ID verification. I was using a simple blacklight flashlight from Walmart and this light shows things on IDs that the blacklight does not. So as far as the light goes its GREAT! However, its poorly made. It has a hard time even staying together. I put the light in my bag and with only flashlights and pens and the battery cover shattered. If you plan on using it very delicately go for it,, but I do not recommend it for its durability.

Bought this to search for cat pee on the carpet. Black light works like a charm even on dark brown carpet.This is my second time buying one of these flashlights. If you leave batteries in them when not in use, the batteries corrode quickly, even when stored in a dry place.Still worth buying - just take batteries out when flashlight isn't being used.

This was the second model of black light purchased from Amazon because the first purchase didn't work right out of the box. This item seems of decent quality and I do like the feature of using a concentrated beam or switching to full-length bulb. The on/off toggle switch is pretty chintzy though, so you have to slide it very carefully to get on the right operation. Oh yeah: be ready to supply your own AA batteries.

Somehow I expected more from this little portable black light. It's so dim that you have to have it within inches of whatever it is you're shining it on. More than 6" away, and it doesn't really make anything glow. It's disappointing, but it was cheap.

The portable Blacklight is so nice and the price is good..I was expecting a bigger one since I didn't notice the "6-inch" ..but that's my mistake .. even though .. I like this one very much& you need to get it close to anything that you want to make it glow

Perfect for what I was looking for. I have been looking for a good light to use for my keyboard. I like gaming at night at times and my keyboard is too dark, and I don't want to replace it. So, this 6" blacklight is just right for that. I took a couple strips of velco, and mounted it under the lip of my desktop, right above the keys. As the keys are white, they are much easier to see now under the blacklight. This company should sell these for this purpose as well as the others. Best $7.00 I ever spent!

There is a business card sized STICKER placed on this items that will take you 20 minutes to remove. It peels off in small scraps,leaving a residue that will take some elbow grease and WD40 to remove properly. The light is fine,however...
