Affordable, easy assembly, can fit full size chair within
After reading the plethora of reviews, most of which were actually good, I was a bit hesitant to buy this only because I wasn't sure if it would be tall enough to accommodate a regular camping chair, that is not low to the ground. See, I did not get this cabana, which I've nicknamed the "Copacabana," for the beach, unlike most folks. I am an avid camper and sometimes when there is a light mist-kind-of-rain, I still like to enjoy my fire. I generally end up either sitting fairly far off from said fire under the tarp that I always put over my tent. This gives me a "front porch" region and allows for some extra outdoor dry storage too. Moving along, in the case of a light rain, I find myself throwing a tarp over my body, as I'm on my chair, with a step stool on one side to kind of hold it up. I do some computer work by the fire sometimes as I work for a newspaper. So, that is out of the question in that kind of scenario. I read too and it's just a pain to do this under said tarp. So, after figuring out that my chair would, more than likely, fit, I went ahead and bought this. It arrived quickly due to my "Prime" membership and I set it up in the living room. Since I'm very used to using shock cord poles, and the like, I did not have the problems that some folks have had in terms of the set up. However, I was dealing with no wind since I was inside my own house. I ran out and got my chair, which is one of those deluxe ones with the cup holder, side pockets for reading materials and a built in cooler-kind-of-deal, and it fit perfectly. Especially at an angle. I figure I can even work on the computer whilst in this thing. I probably will not even peg it down because one sometimes must move about when winds shift, etc., during campfires. So, I'm giving this a great rating, even though it hasn't been totally tested yet, because it looks like it will suit my needs perfectly. I still have it set up and have yet to wrestle with fitting it back in the bag but if it won't go in too easily, I will just use a larger bag that I have. I do some winter camping too, nothing in a blizzard but, light snow obviously makes a person wet as well, so I think this is just what the doctor ordered. I would love to hear from others who bought theirs for camping too. In the summer, I oft' find myself "running" from the sun all of the time so, I feel this will be great for that too. Thumbs up in general. I think the material is nice, by the by, and I know some folks weren't very happy with it but to each his own. Attention fellow campers, let me know if you got one of these for camping and not "beaching."

Perfect for our beach vacation
We spend two weeks at the beach each summer, and I wanted something that would offer the shade of an umbrella without the hassle of trying to keep it from falling over/blowing away. As avid campers, the tent-like set up appealed to me. My husband was concerned that it wouldn't be sturdy enough, but he was proven wrong! The set up was easy (we used it on a day trip to the beach several weeks ago as a trial), and on the first day, with the wind whipping, we were concerned that it wouldn't last for two weeks--and we really didn't want to have to take it down every night. However, once we got it up (stakes in), and set two chairs and a bag in it, it seemed fairly secure. But maybe not secure enough to leave overnight... For the first couple of nights, we stacked our floats and chairs inside it, and that worked fine. When a storm was predicted, my husband decided to let it down (with everything on top of it) to weather the storm. Although that worked, we did lose three of the stakes. Fortunately, we actually found something that worked even better. Each evening when we left the beach, we kicked sand into it. By the time we left, we probably had four inches of sand in the bottom of the tent. But it was sturdy! There were several more thunderstorms during our stay, some with quite gusty winds. One day, all of the umbrellas and tailgating type tents on the entire beach had blown away/lost canopies, etc--but there sat our little tent, swaying a bit, but going nowhere! The only downside for our family is that it only holds two beach chairs (with a little extra room to stash a bag on the side and a couple of flat floats behind the chairs), so our son and I normally sat in the tent, leaving my husband in the sun, though he didn't seem to mind. I know there is a larger version, and I will probably eventually purchase that one. With the "windows" tied up, there was still a nice breeze. After two solid weeks in the sand, sun, salt water, rain and wind, the tent seems to be in fine condition. No rips, tears or fading. We were very pleased. There are "pockets" meant to be filled with sand, although in the winds the tent sustained, that would not have been nearly enough to hold it steady. Having sand in the bottom of the tent was no hardship to us, and only took a couple minutes each evening to get enough in to secure it. That might be a drawback to some, but it worked out perfectly for us. Much easier than struggling with an umbrella or tailgating tent daily!

A great spot for fair skinned people
Took this to Cuba, great size to put in a suitcase. One inner flap was miss-sown and won’t close. Fit together nicely and quick set up. You need a low chair to sit inside it. Good value for the money
