It has a fairly bland taste and an odor when you open it, but...it absorbs the flavors from your sauce nicely and is a great substitute for regular pasta. I would not recommend eating it with butter/garlic, or other no sauce dishes. And as far as the smell, simply rinse it in fresh water and lightly pat it dry before adding to your sauce. Overall, I love this stuff. The rice is not a great substitue for regular rice, but mixed in with veggies or in a soup, it is pretty good.

I have used Wonder Noodles several times in the last couple of years and even though this is a different distributor that Amazon used to carry it was still the same brand so I went ahead and ordered them. The ones i used to get were soft and a little rubbery but these were small rubber clumps you could not even get apart. I went ahead and added the spaghetti to my cooked dish hoping it would soak up some moisture. They were SO awful and rubbery and clumpy I could not swallow them without choking. Dug them out and threw them away. What did they do to these? Bad storage????

I find the noodles to be better than the shirataki noodles. these do not have an odor like those do. Depending upon how you prepare them, what flavoring or spices you use will depend on their flavor. They are a good substitute for actual pasta but the first bite you quickly realize this is NOT pasta. It has a gummy weird texture. I didn't mind it. I also didn't love it. I made it with pasta sauce and it was just ok. I made an Asian lo mein recipe and it was just ok. I think its worth a try. I don't think I'd buy it again for a while.

So I read the reviews before buying this and everyone said they do not recommend it which made me nervous about trying it, but I said "oh whale, nothing to lose". I've been keto for about 2 months now and have been really craving pasta with the only replacement I have tried before as zucchini noodles. The smell is terrible first out of the bag, and the texture makes me think of what a jellyfish or octopus, but I have actually never had either. That being said, I took some low carb tomato sauce, mixed it with a bunch of different cheeses like mozzarella, cheddar, and ricotta on a pan and then after rinsing the noodles, threw them in as well. Took about 5 minutes and it was done. The noodles were pretty flavorless and it all went down the hatch pretty fast. I did not chew the noodles much because the texture was weird, but overall was a fulfilling meal. I think if you want this to be successful, you just have to be careful with what you mix it with. I enjoyed it though and it probably helps ween me off of my old pasta addiction lol because I won't crave this like I craved spaghetti and other pasta dishes. :)

Noodles were better than most keto friendly noodles and had the same consistancy of traditional pasta

As others have stated as soon as you open the package the odor of fish just hits you!! I had my whole meal already prepared so I rinsed them in cold water very well and it helped but the odor didn’t go away. Then I rinsed them in boiling hot water and it worked to get rid of the smell! I used them in an Asian dish but would not recommend for an Italian dish. The noodles were way too chewy. Wouldn’t buy again that’s for sure!

I prepped them the way everyone says to buy re-rinsing and rinsing and rinsing and fully drying them then warming them up in a pan with a little bit of cooking spray it wasn't necessarily the flavor which was not present and that was fine. It was the texture was gross and freaky and weird. I have eaten a lot of disgusting things and this was right there with them good luck to anyone else

Texture is soft and very similar to conventional pasta. I loved.

Horrible taste… tastes like.. nothing. Way too expensive for what it is.I suggest you only attempt to make it with noodle based dishes as opposed to treating it like pasta with pasta sauce.
