HEPA filters are recommended for handsewn masks, and I purchased these bags to experiment with that option. I'm sure they work better than other possible filters (fabric, interfacing, paper towels), but unfortunately my face gets quite hot when I have this as my filter. I'm sure they're great vacuum filter bags!
