Works great with iPhone 6s and DashCommand
Used it with my iPhone 6s in my 2013 Maserati GTS and it worked very well. I bought DashCommand from the App Store for $10 and it works great with it. It requires the phone to join the ad hoc network that the Kiwi creates, but the phone is still smart enough to connect to the internet over cellular. This enabled me to check on the status of something the smog test revealed to not be ready (secondary air filter).

A grade of F for the PLX Kiwi 2 and also a grade of F for PLX Tech Support.
A cheap, overpriced, unreliable product. Don't buy it, returns are a pain and have a 15% Re-Stocking fee!

Should have listened to the other reviewers
Does not stay connected no matter where I place it in the car including right next to my phone. I’m not sure if it’s the Wi-Fi that is disconnecting or the ODB-II.

Good but has issues, almost a deal breaker.
There are pros and cons just like any other device, but I am going to focus on the cons because they are quite annoying. Firstly, once you have it connected via WIFI it will automatically lose it's connection if you get a phone call or text, basically any incoming data to your phone will disconnect the KIWI. And that brings me to the second problem, which is a two part problem, you have to reopen the app and manually reconnect back to the device. Sure it's just tapping on the reconnect button on the phone app, but while your driving it's pretty annoying and somewhat dangerous depending on the situation. The second part of this problem is that once you've parked your car, after several minutes the KIWI goes into sleep mode, which is great. The bad part is you have to manually push a button on the KIWI dongle or whatever you want to call it in order to wake it up, then you have to connect via the app. If you don't want the gauges every single time you use the car then I guess it's fine, but if you expect to have the gauges just "pop up" with ease like turning on your radio then this is not for you. I am going to keep it because I don't need the gauges every single time I'm in the car. If it were more than $70 then I would return it, the problem is there are no other choices other than getting a hard wired scan gear II. I will admit it's cool having a bunch of different skins to pick from DashCommand, but it's just having to reconnect and hit that "awake" button, not a deal breaker but definitely makes you wonder why an awake function couldn't be engineered into this device!!?? Oh yeah, and lastly, since you have to push the awake button to start the WIFI...where are you suppose to mount it so it's easy to reach? It also glows red when it's on so at night time you def. will not want it in your line of sight. These things I will never understand and why they couldn't design it better.

Works Great, Small but Manageable Issues
So far so good. It works just fine, much better than the OBDLink MX Wifi which actually doesn't work at all. I'd give it a 5 if...It's straight connector probably doesn't work in 90% of situations, a 90 degree connector would have been a better choice. Had to buy an extension to help with mounting.Would be nice if it had zip ties and some velcro strips for mounting. It has to be within reach because of the next complaint.Biggest issue is that it can't sense when the vehicle is turned on. You have to press a button to wake it. While it's nice that it sleeps and doesn't kill your battery it's one more thing to do especially for those who want it running each time they drive. Diesel truck owners used to have to buy 3 or 4 extra gauges and drill into various locations to mount sensors. Newer trucks have those sensors and report them to the ECU and they're available to smartphones via devices like this. So it's important to have it operational all the time if it will replace the need for external gauges.Nothing on the market is perfect, I think the Kiwi 2 is better than the rest and at the right price.Once I've used it for a while I'll try and remember to update the review with more real world test results.

Great scanner, designed for Apple products
For anyone looking to scan their car for check engine light codes, this is the product to do it. There are tons of free apps out there for the mobile device that will pair nicely with this Kiwi2 device. If you have the older Kiwi device, this one will perform much faster. For gear heads, this OBDII scanner will let you pull live data from your vehicle, such as the air to fuel ratio, RPM, speed, etc.My only gripe is that it was shipped in a padded envelope, so the box itself was squished pretty badly.
