I decided to hang my tv on the wall and install a heavy wood shelf under it and didn’t want cords showing hanging down. I choose the larger 3 outlet box because you can never have enough outlets and some cords have large plugs eating up an entire outlet. Installation was simple if you can operate hand tools. This mounts to a stud and must be installed to a wall stud. There are 2 long included screws that once you have the hole cut and this set in place they are driven in on a perfect angle securing this to the stud very strong. This box is perfectly designed so it will fit a standard 2x4 built wall with 1/2” drywall. There is a nice cover plate that gets installed over the box installed in the wall. This doesn’t come with receptacles. I used all 3 spaces which isn’t required. You could leave one space open for cables, speaker wires etc. I chose all spaces dedicated to outlets. This is very nice and for the money it’s at least solid well built with good instructions for installation. This does fit into the wall that any wiring can’t go behind it because it fills the space between the drywall between the rooms the wall separates. You can run electrical around it considering most bays between studs is 16” on center. But the back side of this essentially touches the drywall on the back side. There is enough room in this box that wiring all 3 outlets with 12 gauge wire piggyback each outlet was not a problem even leaving enough wire to pull the outlets out. I am very pleased with the quality of this and won’t hesitate to do this in my bedroom where my tv hangs.

A very sturdy enclosure for sure. Took some time to figure out the features, and different configurations that are possible. Spacing limitations installing this box series into a 2x4 constructed wall were too tight considering a 2x4 actual measurements are close to the box dimension of 3-1/2" It fits so close that the screw attachments made this hard to work with even more. The dividing partition should be metal for better isolation. Be careful when tightening the screws that draw the clamps...turn slowly as to not heat the plastic...results in stripped threads. Knock-Out holes should be made to fit both 1/2" or 3/4" at both sides. Overall....A very good product.

The box comes with everything you need to install it. Just add your outlets/connectors.Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Highly recommend this box.

Exactly what I needed for our wall mounted tv. Happy with this purchase.

I used to get all my electrical mount stuff from Monoprice type places. Then I bought Arlington outdoor electrical boxes for adding outlets to a porch residing project. That one purchase made me a customer for life. Now to this beautiful device. I already had their 4 gang stud to stud box adding 4 outlets to a closet, turns out i needed two more,yet this 3 gang was 10$ cheaper than the two gang so what the hay, maybe i needed 3 more outlets after all. Unlike the 4 gang which needed added electrical boxes on the low power side to bring it to code for adding 2 more outlets,this baby is the cats meow and simplifies the whole process. Being that it has a steel box for connections,it can be used for either high or low power across all 3 gangs. Now to the fit and hold after install. It feels like it is drilled into studs, not one wiggle when removing plugs across all 3 gangs. I recommend Arlington products for the do it yourselfer that wants professional looking results.

The only box we found that ALSO came with the appropriate electrical box attachment. Installed fine and works well.

Owner builder and used two of them for the master and great room TV locations. Very well made. I wish they had a good product like this for the sound bar.

Excellent box, easy to install. Installed it with 1/2" conduit in about 20 min minus wiring. My only issue was i had to move my hole about 1" due to conduit in the wall. It has 1/2" knockouts on top or bottom whichever way you install it. The opposite side has 3/4" knockouts. No problems with the outside ring being flush with the wall.I'm not an electrician, just handy.
