Dale and Jim expand the fantasy (or is it real??)
Dale Brown and Jim DeFlice collaborate on a new novel based around the top secret US test base - Dreamland. Introduced to new characters, a reader gets a sense of diversity from the old with the nostalgic twinge of familiar people (the angst ridden pilot, the maverick, the beautiful scientist, the one woman battle against the male dominated environment). Good characters and all easily identifiable. Then the surprise comes in -old names and faces appear here and there giving the continuing feel for the whole series a boost. Anyway, the book follows the events at Dreamland after the James Spy Scandal, closure threats et al. A conflict involving Iran, Somalia and the rest of the usual Islamic suspects ensues and the top secret test weapons, planes and crew are sent to aid and assist. Overall a good read, not in Browns ferocious sense or style but at about 85% pace. Enjoyable read and hopefully more to come from the duo.

Hot Story - but again too much technical Fantasy
This book defines most of the basics, which the later Dreamland stories build on. Dale Brown develops an interresting storyline, an afro/middle eastern conflict errupting and US high-tech weapons (fresh from the drawing board, not fully developed, not tested, but who cares ......) being sent there and used successfully. That's the part I don't like: It simply is absolutely unrealistc. Dale Brown always seems to jump from a currently possible political setting straight into 'Star Trek'-Type Science Fiction. Apart from this aspect, it is a great story; keeps you nailed to the pages.

Coninues to 'move' throughout the story
One of a sereies that continues to carry a singular thread storyline. Intriguing at times, standard at other times. Enjoyable but somewhat run of the mill.
