I purchased these torch lights about 4 months ago, and liked them so much I purchased 4 more! I actually tried two different brands to begin with. The other brand didn't last long at all, and I had to send them back. These look amazingly real, and so far have worked perfectly every night, even on very gloomy and rainy days. I put one set around my pool, and it looks so cool to have tiki torches glowing every evening. I then added them to the walkway from our driveway that goes back to the pool. You can see this walkway from the street. I have so many neighbors commenting on how awesome these look, and they wonder how I keep the torches lit every night. They are amazed when they find out they are solar lights. We live in the Midwest where the weather is cold and snowy in the winter. It is incredible to look out the window and see torches glowing all year long. The option to use different heights is really nice too, giving you a taller torch like height, or a lower lantern type look. This product is well made, looks amazingly like a real flame, and is very sturdy. These would make an excellent and unique gift for that hard to shop for person, and something that anyone would enjoy.

3 years later: They are on all the time and still going strong. Relatively easy to assemble. Nice to have short and long pole options. They look very nice, real like flame. Wanted something I did not have to add fuel to or worry about burning my deck. These certainly fit the bill. Easy to access off/on switch. Very happy with these and if I needed more than 4, I would definitely buy another set. One of the lamps has a defective switch. Otherwise, they are wonderful. Lights stay on all night. They are great! They are now two years old. Come on at dusk and off at dawn. Last all night. Very pleased even though one has a defective switch. Winter, Summer, Spring, and Fall, no fail at all.

These are absolutely fantastic solar lights. Bought these to replace some old "tiki" style solar lights that mostly did not work. These Topmante lights are really nice. They look like actual flames and had fooled a friend who thought there was something on fire in my backyard. Very easy to set up. My only minor complaint is they aren't tall enough. I would like them to be on poles of about 5 or 6 feet off the ground. They are so easy to set up. I am so happy with them that I am going to order another set. They just look absolutely great. Can't go wrong ordering these.

We bought 8 of these lights. They look awesome. After seeing some other comments, I think I can clear a few things up. We have 4 in direct sun light and 4 in 'filtered" sunlight yet the torches seemed to fully charge and worked great throughout the night (came on around 7:30 PM and were still going at 5 AM). You do have to turn the switch on initially but the light will not illuminate until it is dark enough (must have a light sensor to detect this). Many folks initially think that there is something wrong with the light not coming on immediately. I would have liked them to be 18"+- taller, but it still works for what we wanted.

Gave a 3 stars because of the flimsiness of the poles. They did hold up thru a year’s use in the weather. However the poles were cracking at the ends where they fit together. Would no longer fit tightly enuff to keep using the torches. I reinforced the ends with heavy duty weather resistant duct tape. They have held thru 3 months of summer. Have to see if it continues. Placed place 2 in flower garden and 2 beside steps to deck. They light those areas very nicely and really look as though they are burning torches. Very pretty. Feel should last longer. Would be disappointing to have the solar lights working fine but no poles.

I've had my solar lights for, I don't know... three... four years? They are awesome. The first night, they seemed so realistic they made me uncomfortable as I went to sleep thinking there was fire flickering in my backyard. The lights have stayed as bright as the day I bought them. Sorry can't pin down the time better--for some reason Amazon didn't let me rate products for a while, and I was bummed because of anything I bought over the years, and I buy a lot here... this product is worth the money. I don't know about the other brands. I think this is one of the first that showed up with the realistic flames. Really adds a cool touch to the back yard/garden koi pond. LOL, we noticed a year later our neighbors had a set without asking us about them! Plastic posts a little flimsy, just be careful sticking them in the ground. Mine have stayed straight, but cheap plastic posts.

I bought these 6 years ago and they have survived Indiana -20 degree wind-chill winters and 110 degree heat index summers. To say I got my money's worth is an understatement. They work as well as they did when I bought them 6 years ago and they look amazing, just like real flames.
