Brown is medium-brown. My photo shows true color, with the medium-brown pad against a dark-brown wooden desktop, and a silver-gray cable stretched across both. Desk hinge is black, and this photo was taken with natural light on a cloudy day. The plastic surface is textured to resemble real leather to the eye and to the hand. Since it's plastic, the feel isn't exactly that of leather, but it's pleasant enough.Description says 2mm thick; I haven't measured but I'm sure it's no thicker than that.The cork layer underneath is paper-thin. You don't need cork for shock-absorption or anything like that, because the plastic surface is soft enough on its own; the cork may help it avoid slipping on the surface below. (Mine doesn't slip.) The work surface is soft enough that to write on it I may want to use an additional backer, like a clipboard or piece of heavy paper. As a mousepad surface, it's perfectly fine, and thinner than most mousepads.The pad doesn't lay completely flat immediately. I only just received this, so let's give it time. I attempted to get the outer edges to lay down with a warm hairdryer, but that didn't do much; I didn't let it linger as to not cause damage. The curling it does do is with a very slight hump just before the outer edge. This is far preferable to the edge "curling up", and if it never does lie completely flat, that won't be the end of the world. It will still be serviceable. If it never does lay flat, though, I may remove a star later.My main purpose for this pad is as a surface for handwriting. I'll need to experiment with this, as I don't want stylus pressure or bleeding ink to damage it. Better to damage this than to damage the furniture it's sitting on, though; and I have a sense this will protect the underlying surface well.

Hands down the best desk mat, I’ve purchased 4 now over the last two years as we’ve added more desk spaces. Nice cork back, no weird smell, lays flat very soon after unrolling, not weird logo imprint. Just a nice, clean mat that works great for a mouse pad, writing surface, etc. looks high end. Cleans well. Great product!

I just bought a new desk and wanted to not only protect it but add some color. The desk being small and the mat being big, the cord hole was covered. A friend of mine cut the cord hole out of the mat and popped the hole cover back in. I think it looks like it was always meant to be there! The color's true to the photo on Amazon. I'm really happy!

I have been using this mat consistently for the last year in my office. It eliminates the need for a separate mousepad as it is wide enough to allow you both a keyboard and a mouse. It also provides your keyboard just enough grip that it does not slide around. A great purchase!

It flattened out within a day. I got lots of compliments on it at work and cleans very easily. Would order again :)

I ordered the large desk pad. It came in no issues. It is a little thinner than I expected but overall, pretty good quality especially for the price. My only issue is that it slips very easily. I am a student and I often switch from iPad to keyboard, but I noticed when I write on my iPad it begins to slowly slip. My only wish is that is was more nonslip. Otherwise, it's a very nice desk pad and looks great.

I love. I had a white one for over 2 years and it’s still in great condition no tears, but bc it was white there was stains on it, like coffee rings. I maintain a clean desk but white just shows everything, so switched to the black one. they look/feel more expensive than they are. Worth it to keep from scratching your desk. Doesn’t move around. They do come rolled up, but over time the creases go away.

Everything about this deskmat is great for the price. It definitely won't have the supple leather feel, but looks great and holds up well to moisture. Thing is if you adjust the mat too often, it can curl up very slightly on the edges and would take some weight over top to flatten out

Gorgeous mat! Highly recommend. The material is absolutely perfect for my space. I got the dark blue one, and it contrasts so nicely with the cork.

I'll start with the one redeeming quality: this mousepad looks spectacular. Unfortunately, the positives end there.The surface material creates way too much friction with a mouse and you're constantly wrestling with sticking points. It makes it extremely difficult to control the cursor with any sort of precision.The cork lining at the bottom does absolutely nothing to stop the pad from sliding on your desk. Combined with the "stickiness" of the surface, this is a nightmare.Finally, the jagged edges are uncomfortable. The material is also rather hot and lends itself to some clammy hands, but that is expected of leather or pleather mouse/desk pads.Look elsewhere!

Die Farbe ist toll und die Größe für meinen kleinen Schreibtisch perfekt.Leider bröselt das Kork hinten ab.Ist aktuell ok, da ich es ja nicht bewege, aber ich hoffe es ist nicht schnell kaputt.
