Excellent for arthritis and inflammation
I am in severe pain as I wait for a hip replacement. I also have FM, MCAS and severe inflammation in my muscles and joints. The 54W 850nm near infrared bulb is perfect for using on my body parts for pain. I call it "the magic light bulb". Remember, it doesn't work on the color black. I put it directly through clothing on different parts of my leg, hip, pelvis and get immediate and noticeable results within an hour. It does have a fan in it, but it still gets very warm/hot, so be careful to protect the skin with a towel, clothing or a blanket. I used a photography socket to electrify and then a cheap drumstick to use as a handle to move it around as I lay on the couch to recover from the day. I've been using this bulb for about 3 years now with great success. It was one of my doctors that had me try it out at his office first. I'm able to be off all pain relievers because of this!

Good quality
I bought the red light therapy to make my shower into a healing space. Absolutely love! They are large and seem to be good quality.

Great affordable 660nm red light, BUT USE THE RIGHT LAMP/SOCKET TO SECURE IT!
UPDATE from a not-electrician: Not the fault of the bulb, but rather a practical/logistical issue.A couple uses in - same lamp. So I managed to trip the circuit with this and the fireworks left a nice burnt pattern on my cream colored bedspread. So. Here's some free advice. This is a VERY HEAVY bulb to be screwed into a regular socket. When you put it in a downward-facing floor lamp (as is logical if you want to shine this on a body part while laying down) -- it will put considerable pressure on the socket (as per, uh, gravity). Today when I turned it on for my two minute routine, it didn't. Turn on. So I tried removing and replacing, etc. etc (a regular bulb worked so it wasn't the lamp....etc.) When I screwed this red light back in, I tried to tighten it securely (saw the socket shift inside the housing) and that's when the fireworks erupted. Fortunately the lamp socket is in a metal housing but even so, a few sparks flew out and landed on my bedspread, carpet, computer, etc. Yep. So that happened. My guess is the weight of the bulb facing downward, over night, meant the contacts were no longer tight in the socket? And when I tightened it, I created another problem by twisting the socket itself and wires touched that shouldn't touch? Don't know.HERE'S THE FREE ADVICE: 1) Whatever socket you are screwing this into -- abide by the annoying rules and disconnect the power first like an intelligent person. 2) But even more importantly, I will only screw this into a socket I can HOLD IN MY HAND (i.e., a handheld socket attached to a cord). Otherwise, you are screwing this VERY HEAVY LIGHT into a socket which, if not totally secure/stable, is going to rotate/shift/jiggle whatever -- beyond your control. When you add the weight of this bulb to the mix -- fireworks potential. From here on out, I think I'll only use this red light in handheld sockets that I can directly manipulate. Or. I might return it. Not sure. It was a wee bit scary. Again, not the fault of the bulb, but USE OF this bulb requires some forethought. I've seen others opine it is good to use in "any lamp" you have around the house. Not my experience.*********************************************************************************************************************************Nice that they give the specs. Would be even better if this info was in the Amazon description..... Hope the info in pics helps others!

planned obsolescence
Both the 54w and 24w 660/850nm combo bulbs broke within weeks of each other after only 2 years. The 54w one was used far more often. They turn on very dim and randomly flash to full brightness. Won't buy this brand again.

This bulb works-
Bought this in 2019 from "Jacob's Parts"-1st one was DOA-they replaced it promptly and I used it on my elderly dog for several months for pain relief-she would lie under it for an hour or more. When she died I put it away until about 2 months ago when I brought it out to try hair regrowth [70 yr old man]. Using it ~ 30 min/day @ ~ 2" from scalp I am noticing definite new hair growth all around the edges of bald spot. No danger of tripping on my hair yet but will def continue using it.

I use it for my eyes I wish there was more info on eye help
Once you use it you can see why it is so expensive. It is very heavy. It is not just a red light bulb. The light is so red ... it is very odd to look at.Ive read that it helps turn microcondria in your body on that starts healing.I wish the would include more info, or just a list of web sites that they think their customers should read.I have nothing bad to say about this light.

Puts out enough power to achieve relief from injury pain
I discovered that red light therapy was effective for me in dealing with shoulder injuries after a car accident by going to a "rejuvenation" spa and buying 10 minutes of exposure at a time in their $12,000 device made by a company called Joovv. I did my research and learned that the power of the device results in the "Irradiance" level, which is how the studies measure the effectiveness. This product is one of the few that actually states the irradiance levels it will deliver ("Irradiance: 89.3 mW/cm² (6" distance); 46.0 mW/cm² (12" distance)).This product puts out enough power to achieve relief from injury pain and seems to be accelerating my healing. I recommend some sort of Architect's lamp fixture - not the recommended "clip" or "cord" products that I saw, because the bulb and its built in fan are pretty heavy. To hold it in place over the area of treatment, you need something with strong springs made of metal.

Near Infrared bulbs stopped working after one use.
I've been using this- just holding it in my hand for 20 mins at a time- for three days now. I bought it for acne and scarring. The Infrared light is warming and my skin feels soft and supple afterwards and I've noticed some marks are healing faster without me using other methods. So that's wonderful. However, it's not working as expected. After it arrived and I had a cord to mount it in, I plugged it in and it was extremely bright. Excellent! I thought. The light lit the whole room and all bulbs in the lamp were lit up. Next time I plugged it in for actual use only the red bulbs lit up. I thought this was strange and maybe I was remembering wrongly, but no, all the bulbs should have lit up when plugged in and light should have been blinding. So, I'm considered returning it, but what a palava. It took took 2 more weeks than expected to arrive, so I'm not looking forward to having to get another one on warranty in the hopes it will work as advertised.

Good for the shoulders
If you installed on stand alone goose neck stand, it’s good for shoulder application.

Red light combo bulb
I randomly came across a video on youtube about red light therapy and after some further research, I decided to try it out. I've had scalp folliculitis over the years that has been difficult to control at times and after just a few days of using this bulb on my scalp, it has almost completely disappeared. For this reason alone I am extremely impressed! I've also used it on my face, and although the results aren't as dramatic, it seems to have helped with skin texture. I will continue to use it and will try it on any other muscle issues as they come up. There is real science behind this technology, and using it has convinced me of the benefits. Cheers!

The seller doesn't honor their warranty
Horrible experience with this company! I purchase two of these led bulb and one of them stop working after a month. They also supposed to have 3 years warranty but the seller won't honor them. They would keep stalling for months, asking the same questions over again and again.

Do NOT buy
Holy smokes. I was going to lend my mom one of these lights for some red light therapy and decided to check the EF and EMF coming off of these and HOLY MOTHER MARY , it was reading 250-450 mG for reference the power in your wall will emit 25-30 mG ... it is literally emits what a micro waves magnetron releases !!! Stay the Phu ck away from these . It's horrible and should be banned .
