YLI 213YLI246 Original Woolly Nylon Thread, 1000m, Teal

I recently bought more 100% alpaca yarn than I needed, and decided it would be nice to knit some soft socks with the extra yarn. Previously I had used sock yarns from various sources, all of which had nylon or something else blended in to keep the socks from wearing out too quickly. So I decided to try this thread after hearing about it on a knitting forum.It was surprisingly easy to use, and is thin enough not to affect the gauge of my knitting. There are quite a few colors, but I deliberately chose one that would make the toes and heels look slightly different from the rest of the sock. It's too soon to tell how the socks will wear, as they are still on my knitting needles.

Several people complained about the difficulty threading. This product is designed for the loopers on a serger or in the bobbin of a regular machine when using twin needles. It provides better coverage and a softer feel against the skin for knits and leotards, etc.
