Really works! Easily opens from small neck screw bottle to large glass jar.
At first I was confused, but after I learned that you don’t have to use the round disc on one side (unless you need to keep your product from slipping around), I realized you just slide any lid into the “teeth” side, and twist. Voila! Opened! Unbelievably easy. No more struggles using my pliers. Could have benefited from this years ago!!!

This Product Actually Works!
This is an excellent jar/bottle opener. I would give it 10 stars! Having arthritis in both thumb joints makes turning anything very difficult and painful. This Oxo product works. I use it several times a day. Just today...to open a molasses jar, a seltzer bottle, a sauce bottle etc. all sizes and types. It comes with a rubber pad to put under the jar you are trying to open. You place the pad on your counter, put the container on it, hold opener with teeth sidedown and slide container into the v shaped underside.Twist with you hand to the right, hold container steady with left. It opens your container!!! This gadget really works. It is wonderful to have it. No more asking for help to open any container. Keeps your independence. Stops you from trying, yet once again, to open something, only to have lots of pain. Buy it for yourself, a friend, your grandparents or your parents. It's a wonderful tool!

Works pretty well but be careful how you use it.
I bought this Oxo opener as a temporary assist with opening jars after an injury, but I think I'm going to keep it.As with most Oxo kitchen products, it is a well-constructed tool and it comes with a handy rubber pad that adds grip to the bottom of jars you want to open. However, but it can be a bit awkward to twist this tool with one hand while holding a larger sized jar in the other. There is potential for things to go sideways if you put a lot of pressure on either item. Additionally, the tool has metal teeth on one side in order to really get a grip on lids so if the tool slips so there is a chance you could come in contact with those teeth.Having said that, if you don't go ham and just take your time with the first jar or three [until you've worked out the ergonomics], you should be fine. This opener works best for me when I put a jar on the rubber pad, then pull the tool with my left hand while gripping the jar with my right hand [easier to pull than to push!] Your results may vary.If you have an injury, a bit of arthritis or you just and need a little help with your grip, I'd recommend this tool.Beyond that, I'd consider a mounted version so you can use both hands to open stubborn lids.

Must have!!!!
There was a time (long ago) when I had hands like vise grips. This unit makes up for those years. No more struggling to open pickles, olives, etc. Make life simple. It works flawlessly.

Must have if you have lost grip strength or have small hands
Just don't have the grip strength or hand size for larger jars with tight lids. This is an awesome tool! My 12 year-old grand daughter even uses it. No judgement. Smaller hands just don't work well on large lids.

Works great!
This is a great help in the kitchen! I don't have strength in my hands anymore making it difficult to open jars, etc. This works great! It works easily on different size jars and would definitely recommend.

Still too hard to open
This opener did not work well for me. It’s quite large and required a lot of force applied to the lid and I still could not open the jar. Disappointed since OXO is a good brand and I have lots of their other kitchen products.

Does the job but it could be better!
Does the job but could be better. Gripping grooves should be deeper. When trying to loosen a container of Gellato, the gripper would occasionally slip off the lid because the gripping grooves were not deep enough. Maybe it really deserved three stars but I was feeling generous.
