Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 663611 Christmas Tree Shadow Box by Courtney Chilson, 20 Pack, Multi Colour, One Size

Absolutely magic! I decided to try copying the design on the front sheet, with a few customisations, but kept to it fairly faithfully (darker trees in the back; more candles; green card for the little hill). I happened to have matching cardstock in my stash (American Crafts autumn and brights sets). Really fun to put together, and the results exceeded expectations. Beautifully designed and cuts very well. I’ve put my test piece away and will be gifting it at Christmas (if I can bear to part with it!). I think I will try a different layout next time... maybe also using neutrals. I used art glue (designed for glitter, but I only use it for card). It’s incredibly versatile, as most of the elements are individual, not stuck together.The only caveats are that the stag’s antlers need cutting into two and putting in front of its ears, not behind (I checked photos of stags), and you do end up cutting some bits in colours you don’t want, as the whole of the set for the candles is in one die, for example. Also keep the pic, as it’s easily to forget what some of the bits are for. And don’t craft in a windy area!!Sorry the pics are at right angles, you can thank Amazon for ignoring photo metadata...

This is a beautiful die set. It cuts really well and looks quite magical once layered together on the card. I can imagine the dies being quite versatile too and used for other projects.I deducted one star as I think it would really help to include some instructions. There is a video you can watch on YouTube which is quite helpful, although, it's not clear on how the card will look from the inside and I get the impression it will look a little messy.I purchased the Sizzix Accessory pack of assorted coloured cardstock which was used in the video. It's not overly thick and has a nice subtle textured finish on one side. I made a trial card from scrap paper first and matched the size of the blue background to the front of the card but trimmed the edges of the blue card slightly so it left a small border on the inside of the card.Overall, although a little fiddly, I am really pleased with these dies and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

These dies cuts so perfectly every time, I only received them yesterday but could not put them down, I have only done a few but they will make some fantastic cards, and even though they are Christmassy you can still adjust them to work with endless cardstocks, I have done them in all white which are stunning, and also red, gold and green, Christmas colours an they are so fantastic, the price is very reasonably for the amount of things they will adjust to, not enough hours in the day lol. I think I am going to buy some for presents as well, or they will be always borrowing mine!! try them guys you will be amazed at what they do, and the price is great!!

So many wonderful little dies that can be used for a whole range of projects other than the main image suggested. The holly berries alone make a brilliant addition to other cards. The tiny candles and flames are inspired. A great mix and match selection to use from a minimal approach to a full on festive extravaganza. Every die cuts perfectly first time every time. This is one of my favourite sets. Love it.

Photo shows the shapes you get when you run the whole thing through on two sheets of paper through a sizzix big shot die tan through twice I haven't the patience yet to cut twenty colours of paper and assemble it as in the photos but it's a quality die I got it for £6.48 not £13.20 so I'm happy at this price

I love this die set! I am a novice card maker and wanted to make some nice christmas cards. I made the card pretty much as directed and it looks beautiful. I have then used some of the dies to make my own version of the card. There are so may little dies that its a really versatile set. plus there's a video guide online to show you how to make it.
