Does this come with the case?

Mine did not come with a case. I bought it in 2012 and things may have changed since then. Works really good, so no complaints.

Does this come with a case to store it in?

No it doesn't. I just keep it in the box it came in.

Does this unit come with the tip protector?

You're welcome. Those tips must wear with heavy use, but mine is still in like new condition, but I've only used twice so far. Still think these pulleys are best designed three jaw pullers I've ever used , worth the extra money they cost.

Posi lock 104 good for hvac work

I'm sure to work for whatever situation requires a puller. I love this tool because it will not slip off of whatever you're working on.
