Very Good Rod
The rod is a very good rod for the price. Very well made. The action and fill is perfect for me.

excellent inshore or light surf rod. perfect for 1 1/2-2 oz spoons or plugs
I bought the 10'. Great quality rod for a great price. Nice fast action light weight rod for plugs on the surf. I almost always use kastmaster spoons and its perfect. Set up with a 5000 series reel with 30lb braid. Sweet spot is 1 1/2- 2 oz lures although it rating say 1/2- 1 1/2 oz. I even lobbed out a 3 oz spoon easily. Ceramic guides would be nice but the SS are pretty good since tica are known for loosing some ceramic guides.

I've not used a better rod, and doubt there is anything much better ...
I have fished with this for a couple years. It is light, so I can cast lures four hours.It catches more stuff than any rod I've owned. I've not used a better rod, and doubt there is anything much better at the $55 point.UPDATE-this rod (like all others) is not indestructible. It broke at the top of the handle when I yanked a hookset. The line was heavier than rod's rating, and the reel's drag was very tight. I do not blame the rod...

do not buy breaks easy. good for under 5 pound fish
pole snapped fighting a ten pound papio or small GT in hawaii. it broke right above reel seat major design flaw. it is a good pole tho. very light weight and responsive to bites. just sucks its so weak. trying to get a replacement. well see if this review get any response. hope it does so i can fish again soon.. next pole i buy will have to have a good warrantee in case a break happens

Great fit and finish for a value priced rod
Great fit and finish for a value priced rod. Ordered the L version for 6lb main line. This rod has a lot of back bone strength. A little less sensitive than expected. Used on light tackle inshore fishing. Fish did not have a chance.

poor quality
I have been using it for since I bought, once or twice a week. The top eye came loose. The bolt by the reel seat comes loose all the time. I had used pliers to tighten it. The length of the rod is incorrect.
