Nice Overview of Weapons and Uniforms
Overall, this book provides a very comprehensive look at the various types of equipment, weapons, uniforms, and aircraft used by the Marine Corps in the First World War. The author, Mark Henry, did a fine job of presenting a large amount of information in just 49 pages. The book has an extensive collection of black and white photos. Of particular interest are the photos of Marine Corps legends such as GySgt Dan Daly and General John Lejeune. The author included eight pages of full color drawings. These drawing depict various uniforms, weapons, web gear, insignia and other equipment. They clearly illustrate details that are not readily apparent from the photography of that period.Bottom line: this is a nice reference book on the Marine Corps in World War I. The reader will find it helpful when used in conjunction with other books on the war.

Fantastic book, and the pictures were very helpful in setting up my WW1 USMC Sergeant uniform. Luckily I had a few months to do it before the deadline of April 6th 2017 (the 100th anniversary of the U.S. joining the Great War,) because it took a long time to get everything researched, purchased, and set up correctly. But books like this were a great help, and I am grateful for the efforts of those who put it together. Highly recommended.

USMC in WWI
As with the other books in this series, I came away wanting more. I expected, wanted more battle detail and more analysis. While these books might be fine for the casual novice, anyone with some historical background and a serious interest in the 'why?" of history while feel dissappointed. I learned little from all three of the books I ordered.

Very Helpful WWI USMC reference
While far from comprehensive, WWI USMC collector references are scarce and this provides affordable assistance in evaluating WWI USMC memorabilia.

It wasn't bad but it wasn't as detailed as I needed it for what I needed it for. Arrived in a timely fashion
