This plastic restorer really worked.
I got the big container. Applied this to my 20 year old jeep’s fender flares. At first, it looked strange, spotty, almost like it wasn’t penetrating in areas. But after sitting over night, the uniformity and color seemed to look a lot better. Took 2 coats first round. There’s still plenty left. Finally got a good non rainy day to get the job done. Thanks! I’ve tried just about every product out there, this one is a different approach.

Works great
This review is for the "Black Plastic & Vinyl Trim Restorer - Use for Car and Truck Detailing, No Wet Look, Instantly Revives Color to Trim, Bumpers, Mud Flaps, Etc., Black (2 oz)."This restorer works really well. Follow directions, shake it well, and make sure to let it cure all day without it getting wet. I managed to restore super faded trim on an old Escape. I was very pleased with the results. I used a simple rag, but a decent applicator will most likely do a better job and not take as long as I took.Great product.

This stuff seems to work and more importantly hold up for a while.
I bought a 2002 Honda CRV where half of the exterior of the car is raw black plastic bumpers and trim. So, as you can imagine, 22 years into the game, all of these pieces were 50 shades of gray. WERE.On day one I had little faith in this stuff. I'd tried Meguier's Back to Black, peanut butter, blasting the plastic with a propane torch, etc.... This stuff is messy and turns your hands and everything black if you aren't wearing rubber gloves, so definitely wear rubber gloves. It goes on easily enough and wipes off easily enough on day one.I was worried it was just a temporary solution because it just seemed like shoe polish or something where it was sitting up on top of the plastic. Just lipstick for a pig, you know? Well lo and behold, the black stuff soaked into the plastic and it's several months later, and everything is mostly still black and uniform in color.Well worth the money and it is holding up. This stuff can breathe life into dingy looking bumper covers and trim and make your vehicle look much nicer.I'm including two photos to show a before and 2 months after (instead of right after) to prove that it works.

Great for vinyl Racing Stripes, however......
I bought this to try and revive the stipes on my Camaro. They were severely stained (acid rain) and dull. This product helped. Two applications and they did appear more black and not as dull. But this doesn't last long. However, for preparing the car for weekend car shows it works fine.

Amazing product better than any others I have used in the past.
Saw this product recommended on a YouTube video after having to re-address trim pieces on my older truck. This will restore trim pieces back to a deep Rich black and will keep that finish for a long time. Easier than painting, lasts longer than heat exposure, like a heat gun, and is still standing strong with no fading after six months in Florida sun. Will only recommend this product to friends and family who need to refresh plastic trim pieces.A lot of those “back to black “products you can get at auto stores or Walmart will not be as easy to apply and in my experience do not last nearly as long as this dye

The best. Easier to apply than Cerakote.
UPDATE: Over the years I've used about every 'black' lotion with ho-hum results. I was in real need on my 2006 H3 that is always garaged, but the black trim had grayed out enough to bug me and there's a lot of it on the vehicle. I did the recommended 70% Alcohol wipe first to remove any left over silicon product. Wear gloves, get a couple of sacrificial microfiber towels for wipe off. I used a terry foam pad for the application. A little goes a LONG way. I bought the 2 ounce size and I've got enough left to do the same vehicle over again with some left over at least. Wipes right off of paint, no way to do the antenna mount and door handles without getting some on the paint. Use one of your microfibers to remove that. It's been on a day and I'm going to go back over everything today with another throw away microfiber just to do a final buff and excess removal. Trim is back to a beautiful low gloss finish. 2ND vehicle- Much worse condition than the H3, this Caravan, even though garaged has suffered the Florida sun fade. Very impressive product. I used a foam was applicator this time, found it easier than a microfiber towel. I chose this again over the Cerakote because there is no way to not get product on your paint when applying. I used Super Clean diluted 15:1 sprayed on an old microfiber towel to wipe off excess. Even though the Solutions may not last as long, for 10 bucks for 2 ounces is a real deal. I've got enough left to redo this and the grill slats 20 times.

Perfect Black Plastic Restorer!
Is a really great product. Restored all of the black external plastic trim pieces, including door handle, to as new appearance! (Have been fading in the Arizona sun for a long time.) Seems to be long lasting, but I used their clear sealer to be sure. Messy though - wear gloves and have a lot of disposable rags to clean up areas you don't want this stuff on. That said, easy to wipe off from painted areas.

Looks Good But Slow To Dry and Stains Clothes
The good news is that it does impart a new, shiny, black look to dull black plastic trim but it is an oil-based black stain so it can only be used on black trim. However, the real problem is that it took almost three days in warm weather to dry even though it was wiped down after application as the instructions said. Accidentally brushing up against it stained my jeans so bad I thought they were ruined until hand scrubbing and putting through the laundry 3X finally got the black out. I was afraid to go anywhere since someone wearing nice clothes and brushing up against it in a parking lot would have been furious. There are other products that are colorless and aren’t actual stains like this and can also be used on other colors of trim. I won’t ever use this one again.
