Aftermarket Replacement Pads Liner for Giro E2 Helmet

The foam in my helmet began deteriorating and leaving ash-y residue on my forehead.Purchased this for the Gyro E2 helmet.Warning that when opening the packet, I initially thought I'd been shipped the wrong item because the foam strips of the center three-pronged pad were not straight as in the picture. They came out of the packet curved in a parenthesis shape, rather than straight.Because they are of a soft foam however, they straighten out very easily when placed on the velcro dots.The velcro in my helmet was still in good condition, but I did add the ones included in the packet anyway. I figured because the replacement foam came curved, it wouldn't hurt to have a few more connection points using the extra velcro dots.The first time I used my helmet with these new pads in place, I did have to loosen the size a bit, as these are nice and thick compared to my old pads which had compressed over the years.Very pleased with the quality of these replacement pads, the ease of replacing and the perfect fit.

I hadn't used my bike helmet in a couple years as I didn't ride last year. When I got it out this past summer I was very disappointed when the original foam pads just disintegrated. These foam pads were attractively priced, arrived quickly and fit in just right. They are a little thicker than the original pads so that does make the fit slightly tighter in some areas but really didn't present a problem even though I have a larger than usual head. I'm happy with them and would recommend.

Restored my helmet to like new fit.

I have an older Giro E2 helmet that fortunately has not been involved in an accident but in which the pads have basically decayed away. So I ordered this set to replace most of those older pads. The pads in this set seem decent, not great but decent. They do accurately fit the E2 and they are the same shape as the original pads. They do absorb sweat and they are holding up but at the same time, I am not sure they are made of the highest quality materials. Still, I only paid about 10 bucks for this set so not expecting something super fancy. My only real complaint with the set is the poor adhesive on the pads. Once you stick them to your helmet, they often fall off without much pressure. For myself, I removed the pads, and coated the back lightly with liquid foam 3M adhesive. Now they are attached much better (but still able to be removed if need be) and I am enjoying the feel of my ole' E2 helmet as I did when it was new. I also did not use most of the little velcro tabs because they create pressure points that I find painful even when they are covered by the pads.Overall, I would give this pad set about 4 stars. As the months mount up, I will come back and update this review. This set will definitely help you with an old E2 helmet but if you want high quality, you may want to look elsewhere.

Put these new pads in my Giro helmet and then went out for a ride, taking a hard fall with a long slide into a pole headfirst! Thankfully, my helmet stopped me and the new pads cushioned the crash so only my pride (and wrist) were injured! Good product and very easy to install.

Installation took only about 15 minutes. My helmet had Velco dots still in place. I added a few more from those supplied. Happy with this purchase.

Fit great, easy to install. Rescued a perfectly good helmet from being trashed and saved me a ton of money! It's like new again.

I have a slightly different Giro helmet, but the pads looked the same as these. Sorry, it’s been so long I can’t remember the model name, and there is no additional info anywhere on the helmet, but I included photos. (Maybe this is a Pneumo with visor). Lucky I found this kit, the pads are an EXACT match. If your helmet looks like this, these pads will fit!
