Excellent Mic Stand
This thing has everything you want in a good, solid mic stand. I am 6'3" and it adjusts plenty high for even me to stand and sing into a mic. It is black powder coated steel, has rubber tips on the feet so it won't slide around. The adjusting knobs for tightening and loosing. There's even a metal rod you can use to keep the upright part from collapsing down which snaps into several pre drilled holes if you wish to use it. The only thing that might bother some folks is that it doesn't collapse and fold down as far as some that you can carry in a bag. But I've found that the types of stands that collapse and fold, etc for more convenient carrying are usually flimsier or have to be taken apart. I really can't think of anything negative to say about this stand. It lives up to its description!! Hard to believe this stand is that inexpensive. You can adjust it down for sitting on a stool or standing or anywhere in between and the boom pole is also fully adjustable. It doesn't sag or change position once you have it adjusted and with everything tightened this mic stand will stay where you set it.

Product is sturdy and well made but arrived scuffed in two places and without cable clips
This is a product review and Pyle makes sturdy equipment which I why I purchased this stand. It's very similar to the stands my band uses for our PA monitors. The boom arm can be used or not depending on your preference. The stand is NOT lightweight. It's heavy duty and the tripod legs can be width adjusted to suit your needs. Unfortunately, the Amazon drive delivered me a box with two holes in it. The tightening screw that secures the boom arm onto the stand was protruding. And there was another hole down toward the bottom of the box. When I opened the box, found the boom arm had been scuffed badly enough in two places so that the paint had been removed. Because I need this stand for three upcoming gigs, beginning tomorrow, I didn't have time to mess around with the return process. I've purchased many items from Amazon and never had a delivery issue. I called Customer Service, yelled at the automated system until it put me through to a REAL person and explained the problem. The rep was very helpful and worked quickly to resolve the issue. TY Amazon rep...wherever you are. My only complaint is that the stand doesn't come with any clips to hold the mic cable in place. Since the diameter is larger than normal stands, my other ones won't fit. Would be nice if Pyle included 2 or 3 like everyone else.

Rugged, durable, versatile, tall, and all metal.
I chose this boom arm stand based off reviews saying it is "heavy duty", "not plastic parts" and "holds up a heavy mic with ease". This stand can be extended to a height right up to the ceiling with the boom arm horizontal! So having a mic held above you while standing isn't an issue. The fulcrum is all metal and you can really crank it to hold the boom in place though heavy mics may pull down on it still. Adding some weight to the other end is a simple thing or just don't have the arm all the way to one side. It's fully adjustable. My Rode NT USB mic's adapter screwed perfectly on this so didn't need any adapter. Very rugged, a bit heavy, but that helps keep it upright which is a good thing and I can still easily lift/carry one-handed. I like the tripod at the bottom, it can be shifted up or down which helps lower or raise the height more while also narrowing or widening the base for stability. This means I can work it into smaller spaces or open it up if I have room. The boom arm doesn't rotate, but unscrews, so you likely want to adjust the middle shaft (height) to rotate it where needed.

Heavy but sort of weak where it counts
I really like this stand it’s very well built. It’s just the boom adjustment knob needs to be improved. I notice that if you don’t over tighten it, it works well, although it’s not perfect. It doesn’t stop it from rotating. That’s probably why there are photos of customers breaking it. Probably from over tightening it. Buyer beware, overall it’s a great stand, very strong, and sturdy. Downside is the points for adjustment need to be improved. They’re not the worst thing in the world, but they’re a concern for me. It’s reliable to a degree, but it does have its weaknesses. That’s why I took away one star. All in all it’s a great stand it serves its purpose. It’s well worth the buy, just know it comes with concerns. At least the one I have.

Sturdy MICROPHONE stand, NOT a camera stand
This is a very sturdy stand for the price. I do wish the company would package it better. I ordered two. The first one I opened was perfect. The second had been damaged in shipping. One of the tension knobs was busted and the extension arm was jammed into the holder. The holder was bent and the plastic was damaged. I promptly ordered a replacement and received it within two days. Unfortunately it too had a problem. The small tension knob on the extension arm would not tighten. The screw hole needed to be tapped out. I returned that one for a refund and bought another one. I know what you are thinking..."two of the three were either defective or damaged, why would you order another?" Please hear me out....I LOVED the first one. It does what it is supposed to do. These stands will not be used on the road, but will be used in my classroom to hold light-weight condenser microphones. The replacement stand came today (12-29-2020) The box was beat up. It had been opened and retapped. I was worried. I looked it over as I was pulling it from the box....not a scratch on it. Best of all...IT WORKS! Yea!! Happy customer here.

Good quality, fairly priced, highly recommended
I needed a couple budget friendly mic stands for overheads and needed something that would be stable, sturdy, and tall, so I bought a pair of these Pyle PMKS56 stands based on the reviews I found here on Amazon. After receiving them and setting them up, I felt no reservation in mounting up a pair of C414s on them. They feel sturdy and secure, with plenty of adjustment. Maxing out their extended height, plus the extension of the boom, got them up where I needed them (approximate 10'). All the adjustment points are easy to use and are plenty secure; and while adjustment collars are plastic, they should be plenty durable for most users/purposes. The stands fold easily enough, and are compact and light enough to pack up and haul around no problem. Overall, these are great quality and very fairly priced. Highly recommend.

Better than I expected for the price.
So first off, for less than 30 bucks I didn’t expect much but didn’t really need anything amazing but I’ve been around a lot of mic stands and I was honestly how surprised I was with how sturdy and solid this thing was, mics have a little weight so I didn’t want it to feel super light and wobbly and it def isn’t, no parts of it feel light or cheap this think is solid all parts were flawless and worked perfectly, def a score, I hope who ever is looking for an affordable mic stands finds this review.

Solid, stable and a good value with a few annoying issues.
Overall this is a good product, solid and very stable. However there are a few issues. The biggest is that the boom arm droops slowly with even a little bit of weight on it. You have to tighten the joint down like a madman to avoid this, way more force than you should need to keep it in one place. Others have solved this by taking it apart and sandpapering the joint, but you shouldn't have to do this! Putting a bit of thin friction tape or a paper washer might also fix it. The other issue is that the bolts on the legs stick out about a quarter-inch from the legs so if you're not careful you could catch your leg on one of them and need a band-aid. I had one other issue with mine that (hopefully) most people won't see. When it arrived the thread adapter on the end of the boom was cross-threaded crooked. It was jammed on so tight it took a set of vice grip plyers to unscrew it. Luckily the threads weren't damaged in the process and I was able to put the adapter back on correctly.

Sturdiness and long lasting
I purchased a microphone stand before and it never held up to adjustments. Pyle makes a higher quality stand with metal adjustments. It was worth the extra few dollars I spent!

Very stable stand
I've bought several stands from Amazon - sight unseen - in the past. They're always a bit flimsy. This stand, however, is super strong. It feels well-made, with sufficient weight to keep it stable, even when the arm is fully extended. 5 stars. Would buy again.
