Look decent, fit well and not too heavy
Was dubious about these for the price but you know what they're OK. Tired of having to carry smart shoes + steelies and these serve their purpose. Not sure on durability as the soles are only glued/welded on and the leather is probably a little too thin. That said they're standing up to the task so far and for the price I paid I can't complain. For me they're comfortable enough to wear for a 12hr shift+ (with arch supports) but I can't drive in them.

Doesn't look too much like a safety shoe, but is one!
And that's the main reason I purchased these shoes: they look 'normal' and don't have massive, clumpy soles or a weird, bulbous toe cap. I could have worn my company-provided safety shoes but they look awful and more like a pair of medical support devices! These shoes don't look like they even have steel toe caps inside - definitely a plus for me.The City Knights are like traditional, Oxford shoes in styling and could be worn with a formal suit, or uniform. They are made from a good quality leather which would polish very well. The soles look solid and hard-wearing, with a good grip pattern, and are rated as 'anti-slip'. You can tell these are not standard, Oxford-style soles (which are generally leather and smooth) but they don't look too 'safety shoe'.The interior is well-cushioned (vital for comfort if you have to walk a lot for work) and properly finished inside: I didn't find any awkward bits sticking into my feet. There are 5 lace eyelets each side which means you can properly tighten the shoe, and stop it moving about on your foot. The back of the shoe has a 'U' shape, cut-out to avoid the leather cutting into your Achilles tendon when you crouch down (it's more pronounced on my shoes, than in the product photo). That sort of detail shows that these are well-designed work shoes. The City Knights don't seem to weigh any more than other formal shoes I have - some safety shoes can be considerably heavier.I'm a broad-footed, size 11 and found the fit is good, if a bit snug (thick socks would be out); they did need to loosen-up with wear to become really comfortable (as mentioned by other reviews, the heel area was the issue for me - but no more than other leather shoes I've worn). Might be worth going a half-size larger if you wear thick socks or extra insoles.

Surprisingly good shoes, and incredible value
These don't look or feel nearly as cheap as they were - especially since I replaced the laces (which were too long and too thick) with something more elegant. They are genuine leather and polish up well. I have a pair of Churches which cost ten times as much as these, and to be honest they look fairly similar unless you look carefully at the soles. They arrived without even a box - they were just in a plastic bag. Incredible value though. I bought them for light-duty visits to relatively clean building sites when I need to look smart (I also have a big pair of safety boots in the car for more serious, heavy duty site visits). I've had them a year, and am pleased with them.

Comfortable. Look good. Slightly big.
I bought these shoes as I now have to wear safety shoes while lifting equipment around office spaces. I'm generally a size 8 and based on other reviews about sizes being a bit small, I was unsure whether to go for a size up, I went for the 8 and glad I did as they came up a little large for my foot. They were still extremely comfortable though. Wore them for 2 weeks with no problem. As they started to wear in a little, they did get a little uncomfortable where the toes bend for a couple of days, but then back to comfort again. After 3 weeks, I decided they were still a little bit too big for my feet, so I bought some cheap gel insoles and that sorted them out. They look extremely smart, couldn't really tell them apart from a normal shoe, just marginally wider, but they are wide fit! I also drive in these with no problem at all.Only negative points to mention are minor 1) shoe laces appear to wear very quickly. They do come with 2 pairs of laces, but I suspect I'll be replacing them after 3/4 months. 2) as they're not leather, little scuffs don't just wipe off. I haven't tried polishing them yet, but hopefully that will hide them.Haven't tested out their ability to save my toes from getting crushed, but I hope to never test that function!😄Would highly recommend to anybody needing smart safety shoes....if it was exactly the right size for my foot, they would probably be the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn.

After 3 months not so good!
I have been wearing these shoes since 06/11/21 for work, Monday to Friday every week. I am a driver so while wearing them I don't do much walking. As can be seen the soles are hardly touched. However as can also be seen the uppers on both shoes are gradually disintegrating. This started with 1 small hole 2 weeks ago and gets worse daily. It's a pity because they seemed like the ideal shoes for my job, being quite smart as well as comfortable. I shall be contacting Amazon for a solution. I did and got a full refund.

good shoe, rubbish laces
Comfortable shoes that look good, definitely don't look like safety shoes. They are even comfortable when worn for long periods. They come with a spare set of laces, unfortunately they need to, I have had these shoes just 2 months and already on the second set of laces, and both of those has worn through the outer woven casing and one has snapped. Currently waiting for laces from another source. That is at pandemic reduced activity levels. The rest of the shoe is showing little or no wear and tear as would be expected
