Ellie Shoes Women's 253-Elizabeth Ankle Bootie

When I first saw these out of the box, I thought they looked enormous and that they would surely be way too big for my feet. However, I came to find that they just looked big because they have a pointier end; the sizing takes into consideration that you're probably not going to jam your toes into the sharp point of the shoe, thus they look a bit longer than usual. Overall they are very pretty! But definitely more of an antique ivory than a clean white--I prefer that though, I think it makes them look more vintage. I've worn them a few times now over the span of half a year, and the outside is holding up surprisingly well! I've even worn them in the rain. The inside is having more difficulties; the fabric at the heel has come unstuck from the bottom of the shoe and tends to roll up under the arch of my foot, but the fabric is thin, so it doesn't usually bother me too much. I am very awkward in heels and don't usually enjoy wearing them, but these are subtle enough to give you a nice lift without compromising your... stance? haha. They're honestly comfortable to wear, and every time I see myself in them it makes me smile. Surprisingly enough, the ribbon stays tightly tied all day as well, so there's no having to fiddle around with it. These are seriously awesome, and though I don't wear them terribly often, they always make me feel pretty and powerful in a Victorian lady sort of way.

This shoe is perfect! I am playing a role in a show and have to wear a Victorian costume. These shoes compliment the dress perfectly, look perfectly period and are extremely comfortable making it easy for me to wear them through the entire show without any discomfort.

Wore these to a Halloween themed wedding and they were very comfortable. Wore brand new out of the box for about 6 hours and never had a problem. They looked very nice (black), though the ribbon laces don't feel like they would last a long time without breaking. Go easy with them or have some backup ribbon in case. Very happy with this purchase.

Beautiful and very feminine granny boots! I've been looking for something like these for years. While they are very well made for the price, I would not suggest putting them through everyday-wear paces. And they probably will not provide much rain protection. But I'm happy with them and glad I took a chance. The price is certainly right!

Ok so for now I'm giving a 1 star because they are NOT white but ivory & there was a stain on the front of the shoe... these are supposed to be my wedding shoes so they wont do...I am ordering the black ones instead and will update my review once those come in..Sometimes you get a bad order and it happens. The shoes are beautiful and not low low quality. Super comfy and fit to size.

First of all the color of boots are ivory or off white,not white .The synthetic lace fabric appears good quality. Size 7 med fit fineI replaced the flimsy slippery ribbon laces for a pr of 36 inch flat laces and had a shoe repair shop replace the heels with something non slippery.Otherwise a good pair of boots

We have an annual witch walk in our town. I purchased these for such an event. The quality of these lacey shoes are great. Easy to put on and take off, comfortable. However, I haven't walked in heels for years and ended up with a nasty blister on my third toe. But it's not going to stop me from wearing them again.
