I bought this to use on my mower to pick up sticks and my kids baseballs. Works fine but it feels like cheap plastic and I’m continuously waiting for it to break.

Really good for a plastic grabber that isn't as expensive as the metal ones

Description reads "PikStik Classic C-361, Aluminum Reacher,". The tube is plastic, not aluminum.The design flaw which leads to the handle breaking where it is attached to the square plastic tube has not been addressed. I have purchased this style PikStik before and each (save 1 shorter model) has failed with a stress crack where the handle is riveted to the shaft. Each time a load is lifted, the tube and handle move slightly - stressing the molded plastic handle where the handle enters the tube. Service life has averaged more than 1 year,All said, this is the style my wife prefers and I will continue to purchase. I keep a new spare to hand.April 2023Description unchanged. Failure mode unchanged.Same as described before. I have learned how to disassemble the gripper end and combine parts from broken plastic PickStiks and reassemble to extend the life cycle.It is curious that there has not been a response from PikStik or Amazon correcting the description or addressing my review.I am working on an aluminum tube PikStik next.

I used various PIK-Sticks ALL MY LIFE, but in the last decade they have been impossible to find! The old fashioned ones like this one, are impossible to find! But I took a chance, did a search, and YIPPEE HERE IT IS! THIS ONE IS ESPECIALLY USEFUL TO ME, I AM SHORT, AND THE LONG HANDLE HELPS ME GET INTO THE HIGHER CUPBOARDS, PULL OUT THE WET LAUNDRY FROM MY HUGE DEEP WASHER, GRAB THINGS FROM THE BACK OF UNDER SINK ITEMS, JUST THE MOST USEFUL TOOL I HAVE IN MY HOUSE! I BOUGHT TWO, one FOR UPSTAIRS AND ONE FOR DOWNSTAIRS. So happy to find them, incredibly USEFUL- NO SUBSTITUTE FOR THE PIK STIKS, IF YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW!!!

Excellent pickup ability. Purchased 2. This brand is excellent. I have owned other brands, they don't last nor work.But nothing picks up first time like this original brand. Picks up dimes, pennies etc. Can't go wrong. It's the shape of the tips that works and very well made.

Picking up routine trash and cigarette butts - worked well for four weeks but then something snapped and the pinchers would not pinch.

There are various styles or designs of "reach sticks" or "grabbers" to help people who have physical handicaps do things they otherwise could not do, or do them with much less effort than would be required otherwise. Since I do have a pretty severe physical handicap, I have used reachers or grabbers such as the Pikstik for quite some time -- and I have experience with a variety of designs.In my decades of experience with these types of aids the PIKSTIK design is far superior to any other. The end with the pincer or clamp is correctly oriented for effective use, all the other designs have the pincer oriented vertically instead of horizontally and is problematic for picking up canned goods or bottles for example.Furthermore the handle end of the Pikstik is useful for pulling objects toward you, or pushing them away from you. It's even useful for scratching the bottom of your foot (for those who otherwise cannot get at the bottom of their feet). You simply can't do these things with other designs.I had just about given up on finding a replacement for my old, worn out Pikstik because the "stupidly" designed grabbers always pop to the top of the list making it hard to find the good Pikstik. Believe me, a lot more people would use grab sticks if the Pikstik was at the top of the list instead of the bottom.You can't go wrong with the Pikstik!!

I have 2 now...an older one from years back and this new one...great durability and is constructed very well. It can reach to pick up a lot of stuff for me... I need one more for the back of the house

I disliked the fact it was about six inches longer than my original Pikstik, making it rather unwieldy. There was no mention of the product coming in different sizes. The style was more useful than other reachers I have used but too long.
