On the second day of fishing my son and husband lost this magnet. It was due to the clasp not being secured. It was not strong for the magnet; the heavier magnets come with a screwed clasps and this one came with a push clasp. Six weeks ago I sent an email to the company and they said they would send me a replacement magnet package and I have yet to see one. My son asks daily.

Worked great, until I got it stuck and was unable to get it broke loose. I think it got wedged, it wasn't the magnet that was stuck to metal.Had to leave it due to me not able to get it unstuck from my angle.Maybe a boater has a new magnet.

We use this for magnet fishing. We have a more powerful model also but we use this one The most.

Great magnet for fishing of metal objects. DO NOT let this magnet get Stuck on flat steel. Mine got stuck on a piece of flat steel on the side of a boat dock and I damn near didn’t get it off. I had to use my receiver hitch to pry it off.

Got my magnet today, I am really happy with it, can’t wait to try it out this weekend. I was not really impressed with the rope and carabiner, but I had already decided to go more heavy duty before I bought it ( lot of reviews out there for this type of product with people losing their magnet right away, possibly operator error that’s why I pre decided for my own rope & carabiner upgrade ), anyways, I ramble. I am happy with this product and will probably buy heavier rated one in the near future. Enjoy yourselves.

Clip broke extremely easily, not as durable as expected, weld or wrap the clip for more durability

Managed to pick up a could things just by the telephone cord attached. Very strong

Great Magnet. Very strong. I think next time I will order a double sided magnet though.
