Very Weak Content !!! Buyer Beware !
I normally don't take the time to write reviews. I keep an open mind and stay positive and avoid commenting. But this publication is extremely weak and poor on content. It is nothing less than a brochure with web links of you tube etc. Any one can find internet links & you tube videos for FREE !!! The cover graphics and the presentation are very misleading. The back cover states along list of what you will learn which is incorrect !!. There is not enough literary content to teach you anything !! This is not a backyard guide for beginning farmers. In my opinion this is copy cut and paste slapped together attempt to sell an overpriced "thing" There is no guide here on resources to help you.! You get MAYBE one general paragraph or FEW simple generic sentences on each of the subject areas highlighted in the table of contents followed by a web link. There is no " how to approach" or "do it yourself format to help you. The total page content is under 61 pages with large font ! . Clearly this publication is a waste of money and is an insult to anyone wanting quality information on beginning farming ! !. I would not recommend purchasing this book.

A joke for a book
This book is priced 10X to much. Also this book shouldn't have been published. This book is short as a comic book.

This "book" looks like it was done at home on Microsoft Word and was not sent to an editor or publisher. It is a farming reference book yet there are no chapter headings or page numbers on the table of contents, thus it is literally impossible to jump to a specific topic. With no clear chapter breaks, it seems to be a series of random thoughts on topics. The print is also so large that the page numbers are misleading as it's the size you would see in young children's chapter books. We are assuming this was done to make it appear there was more substance to the "book." When we started flipping through this item, we thought it was a gag gift item. Immediately returned.

Great book to learn from
One of the most useful resources I have come across in my search to learn everything homesteading requires. I appreciate that the author did not gloss over the hard stuff (butchering). I have been unable to find hardly anything on it other places I've looked. It's very engaging, interesting, and easy to follow.

At a normal font and spacing this "book" would be a magazine article at best.
joke of a book. shame on me for not reading the reviews and getting taken for $12. Unscrupulous author should be ashamed. At a normal font and spacing this "book" would be a magazine article at best.

This purchase was almost a total waste of
The Author likes to reference material such as videos but fails to leave a link to the video. The same thing is done with other reference material. This purchase was almost a total waste of money

Good read
Now here is a beginners farming book that actually tells you a lot of "meat", useful and helpful information. I enjoyed reading this very much. Thanks to the author for putting together such an interesting book, I learned quite a bit. Great links too, much appreciated. It's a keeper.

This book is poor in information content
This book is poor in information content, unattractive in layout and organization, and overpriced at £9.15 for what it is. I cannot recommend purchasing it under any circumstance. The information contained in this slim volume is very low. There is not a single graphic in the volume. The only suggestion of useful material is merely hinted at with web URLs in every section to websites like instructibles, youtube and various "green" websites and blogs. In many places, the content at the links is described, rather than consisting of information itself. I feel ripped off after buying this book. The organization is poor. The book is a series of topic headings without any chapter structure. I should have taken it as a warning that none of the actual text was shown in the Amazon preview. In individual section, the organization is somehow worse. For example in the sheep section, I'd expect basic husbandry and feeding to appear early, breeding and butchery later on. This section instead begins with an incomplete sentence and web URL, followed by the mention of a single sheep breed. I think it would be unfair to say that the sheep section is adequate to arm even beginners with anything other than a few links where they might get some real information. By the way, you have to type in the long URLs - there is not even the courtesy of an abbreviated link. The text would be improved with a real chapter structure. Some pictures, even clip art, would help a lot. The real reason not to buy this pamphlet is the lack of actual content. I will be careful to entirely avoid this publisher and author in future.

Disappointing from start to finish
This is a book that should not have been made available in paper format. There are several "click here" references. Additionally it is based on American farming not British (probably my oversight) and is exceedingly basic. Very disappointed. Read in under an hour cover to cover and am none the wiser!

Very basic and very general.
Very simple book, many spelling mistakes and refers to links in the text but no links provided. American farming so of little use in the UK.
