Does the water stay hot? How long after first pot can I make second, then third?

The machine maintains a reservoir of water that's pre-heated. As you make a pot of coffee, the reservoir is refilled for pre-heating. You can immediately make multiple pots, though subsequent pots may take slightly longer if the reservoir water hasn't had time to pre-heat the water.

Does this unit come with the plumb line kit?

It comes with a in-line filter, but no water line.
