Hello. No, you must remove the brushes to a separate container or surface to be air dried.

Q: Could this wash a pair of panties?

It literally was the worst thing ever. It did not work at all and when I got it to, it leaked everywhere, chewed up my make up sponge, shredded the hairs off my brushes and much more. I think I will just clean them the old fashioned way with my hands and soap.

To be honest it probably could but my daughter has gone through about 5 of theses and they leak. Buy with low hopes.
