RothcoShemagh Tactical Desert Keffiyeh Scarf

After reading many reviews, I decided to purchase this Rothco Shemagh in purple.There were none of the flaws other people reported.No loose threats, no offensive odor.It was made in India and I washed it twice. The color did not fade. It did not shrink.The measurements are 42x42.5The fabric is not too thin, not too thick and it feels soft.I am absolutely pleased with this scarf.I liked this Shemagh so much, I ordered another one.I just wanted to tell you the difference.My second Shemagh came from Army Universe for basically the same price.They had a color, black and silver, that Rothco did not have.The Army Universe Shemagh is made in Pakistan.There was no bad smell but a few loose threats.There were also some flaws in the pattern and the fabric was not woven as tight as the Rothco one. It was not as soft and it was smaller 38" x 41.5"Overall, the Rothco Shemagh looks better and feels better.Today, I have received my third Shemagh and now I can compare it with the regular Rothco and also one from Army Universe.This one is Foliage Green - which is more a gray with a tint of green, a very nice, camouflage color.It actually smelled nice but I washed it anyway, like all new clothes.I was surprised that the water stayed clean unlike the other two Shemaghs which I had to wash twice and rinse a few times.There were a few loose threats and minor mistakes in the pattern.It is supposed to be lightweight but I hardly noticed a difference.It is soft, like the other Shemagh from Rothco andit is the largest of the three with 43" x 43"Overall the quality was like the Shemagh from Army Universe.I see very little difference in a Shemagh made in India or Pakistan.Being able to compare the three different fabrics, I came to the conclusion that I will buy my next Shemagh based on price and color

Good quality shemagh in a non-standard color! Differing weave as expected; the thicker parts are quite thick--see photo with computer screen as a back light. Slight dye odor, but a vinegar soak and rinse has mostly taken care if that. No bleeding in the rinse. Fringe on two sides. The purple was a little lighter than I expected, but good.

I ordered this product at the same time that I ordered another Tactical Scarf. It arrived as advertised. And I was thoroughly impressed with the material. 100% cotton, Measuring 42"x42" and the material felt twice as thick as the other scarf ordered. Made in India, and breathes SOOO well. Used it while making minor repairs on my 18 wheeler, and it proved an awesome wardrobe addition. I moistened it, and stayed cool in 107 degree heat. While I would love a 46"x46" size, due to me having a larger neck, and head. It will definitely be included in my clothing bag. After the first wash, It did not have any extensive color wash off. And the color stayed the same shade. I ordered purple, and will be definitely ordering a variety of colors. Giving 4 out of 5 stars. It would have been 5, but the 42"X42" size is going to prove to be an issue when I go for a complete head cover. Otherwise. Great product.

Got this for my wife. In the outdoors, this works in the cold and the heat. What a perfect product. No wonder our military adopted it.

Looks great, plenty big enough for multiple types of wrapping, head, neck and face.

I'd seen some other reviews complaining about color accuracy, I found my scarf to be exactly what the picture showed. Also I washed it on gentle in cold water before wearing it and haven't had any problems with the color running. Good product for a good price.

Hello there, it is the second time that I order from this seller, the first one was Foliage color and it was perfect... well I though I should get one that I could wear with noncombat style clothes... and oh my how disappointed I was. Writing this review just now as I am abroad and did not have time earlier to do so.Please be warned and take good close look at you scarf as soon as you receive it, so that if anything you would not miss the return-replace window as I did.

Good quality construction. Seems bigger than some of my others. My 2 year old loves it as a multipurpose blanket (picnic blanket, doll bed/blanket, cape, put over head and walk into walls) and I like how useful it is when we are out places.
