Horrible, tape splits in the center at every attempt
Tape comes apart easily - as in, splits down the center while using it. I'm going back to Scotch Magic tape. Poor choice. I wouldn't recommend this... not worth the small savings.

Too thin to be reliable. Splits lengthwise.
This tape is cheap but very thin. It tends to rip lengthwise, so you end up with a long thin bit of tape that keeps getting narrower. Also very hard to install in your dispenser because the tab is so cheap that you can't unpeel it easily, with the result that, again, the tape splits lengthwise. Not worth it. Buy more expensive Scotch tape.

Never thought I'd review tape..
It's crazy to be reviewing regular invisible tape, but after my recent experiences with inferior brands I fell like I need to come on here to say that this tape is actually good! I admit I'm usually looking to save money on office supplies like tape, but there's a minimum standard of quality before a bargain becomes an aggravation.invisible? Yes..Easy to write on? Yes.Tears cleanly from the dispenser? Yes. (This is where other brands often fail.)Good value? Yes.

Cheap
I bought this for my classroom, and due to the fact that it is extremely thin, it splits/rips constantly. My seventh graders have neither the patience nor the dexterity to deal with it, so it’s left to me. It is a waste of time and product when I have to find the spot where it split and cut the partial portion off before putting the tape back on the dispenser. I’m surprised by all of the positive reviews. I can’t wait until this is all used up (considering how much I end up throwing out, it won’t be long.)

Tape Not Staples Brand!
We have bought Staples tape before. Clearly this tape is something other than Staples brand. The first thing I noticed was that this tape came in blank, plain white boxes (no print). "Staples" branding was nowhere to be found. On pulling tape from these rolls, it does not come off smoothly and evenly like standard tape. The result is that it leaves torque marks in the adhesive as tape is used. The tape was also wound unevenly resulting in a slight cone in the wind on some rolls. The core on some rolls is also slightly deformed due to the overly tight wind. Finally, the tape does not tear easily from the tape dispenser as traditional tape does. The tape backing seems to be thicker, preventing a clean, easy tear.I give this tape 2 stars for cheap price and free shipping. I can not give it more because the manufacturing quality appears as though it came out of a third world country with low standards. The picture in the ad and claim that this tape is Staples brand is clearly untrue!

Waste of money
Out of the 12 rolls, I ended up throwing out more than half. Many of the rolls are impossible to even get started and if you actually manage to do that, they soon rip lengthwise, so you end up with a long thin bit of tape that keeps getting narrower and eventually you just end up throwing it away. Don't be lured by the cheap price tag because you'll end up actually spending more than the brand name, which actually works. Going back to Scotch.

Just be careful opening
It's true, you can end up with tape splitting up and having to find the beginning and getting it so it's not split anymore. However, I've ordered these three times now. If you're careful at the start of a roll, I can say with confidence that once it's all intact and coming out not split, it never splits again. Adhesion is perfect, works exactly like the non-generic. I'll keep buying these as long as the price continues to be good.

NOT Staples Tape - Impossible to Tear
What I received was not the Staples tape, as pictured in the listing. The tape I received was “generic” tape in solid white boxes. The reason I’m giving it only two-stars is not because it’s not Staples tape. . .but. . .because it’s impossible to tear. I’m using the same tape dispenser I used with actual Scotch brand tape for years, without ever having a problem. Now, I put a roll of this tape in, and it’s horrible. I’ve tried lots of different ways . . pulling really fast, just knocks the dispenser over and pulls-out more tape. Slow just leaves you waiting and waiting. . . . In the end, sometimes I just have to grab a pair of scissors.
