Ship to Shore: Learn to Have FUN Using Morse Code

This is a great book for a beginner. It has some history abou Morse code and several pages of praticing Morse code. My Grandson is eleven and has recently become very interested in this so it was a great gift at Christmas.

Great tool I learned this as a kid in ROTC though a refresher would be good it’s also great for teaching young minds

I purchased this along with the key to learn Morse code and to eventually help others to learn it. Although it is no longer required for ham radio licensing, it is highly recommended, as it is still used widely around the world.

The book has great information in it and a wonderful page of internet resources. However, the text does not match the 'morse code' fun alphabet. Half of it looks like a preschool book for learning to read and the other half is written at upper elementary or middle school level.

A good guide for learning morse code for kids. The first section is geared towards an older child. The last section has simple drawings with the symbols for the alphabet. At first glance you may think this part is for little children, but the drawings are just tools to help remember the letters that go with the code.

A Christmas gift that was requested. She said the pictures would help to make it simple to learn for her. She was pleased when she received it.

its ok if you like morse code, fun to read the code, more for a radio buff, or radio hobby

My father lived in London as a child before he was evacuated to Wales at nine years old , he told me stories of sending messages to his friends up and down the railway lines in morse code , " brilliant " but how dangerous , when he was old enough he joined the King's Dragoon gaurds and was a radio operater in a tank in the middle east mostly . I have bought this book to learn morse myself and I had a pleasant suprise to find this book clear and easy to use and with the interesting history of how morse began , I want to teach my grandson also so we can send messages back and fore when I am camping in the mountains that surround us , no mobiles , " GREAT FUN " .

If you know Jot about Morse code then you don't need this book.
