Effective!
Works great for nervous Russian blue. We have a lot of life changes happening at once and due to the nature of Russian blues, our kitty is struggling, this collar actually helped our boy calm down. We saw a change in mood within an hour of putting the collar on him. Id say 3-4 hours later it was obvious he felt better. The collar effects lasted 3/4 weeks with a good effect still present but after 1 month it was worn off. Just bought our second collar and he's been wearing it for a few days, it definitely effects him in a postive way and we are seeing the same calming effect again with this one so its not a placebo! Highly recommend if you're not keen on supplementing your cat with medication. This collar works, not as well as medication of course but it definitely improves their mood and relaxes them! The collar has a light almost floral smell to it thats not too strong for people noses, just smells clean and fresh not like a strong chemical or artificial smell.

Simply the best.
These are great! It has helped our cats with moving cross country, getting introduced to new cats, getting introduced to new dogs, ect. It doesn't help with random marking so far that I've seen, but our high strung cat is way more relaxed and less likely to take an eye just because someone down the street slammed a door shut. The one problem with them is that they tend to be easy for a clever cat to escape from because of the "breakaway" feature. You can keep them from escaping by wrapping a rubber band around the band of the collar a few times, then slip the excess band into that once on the cat. Depending how tight the rubber band is the harder it will be for the collar to "breakaway" so use your best judgement. The point is to just give it a little friction so they can't wedge a foot under it and send it flying(like mine have in the past). Remember that a cat collar should be tight enough that you can only slip two fingers into it- otherwise they run the risk of getting it stuck in their mouths. This happened to us because my husband swore up and down that was too tight and I came home to our kitten having it stuck in her mouth all day. Please to report that she suffered no long term ill effects but it stressed her out a LOT and she was visibly panicked. One more thing, I have tried a variety of other "calming collars" and this is the ONLY ONE that works consistently.

It works, but it's not a miracle cure
This product absolutely relaxed my cat! He has been super friendly and not as anxious. But, he's still peeing in one spot he's not supposed to pee on. I've solve it for now by using dog pee pads. He pees on the pad and not the side of the box. I've notice since the collar, he doesn't do the paw markings on the space around the food dishes/water. He doesn't seem to care as much about the dog (which has helped because before he would see her and run which triggered her to chase). To put it on, I let him smell it for a while, then I used a liquid cat treat to distract him while I put it on. He doesn't seem to know it's on. He's wearing the collar in the picture.

(7-8-26 Updated Review). HOPING THESE HELP!! P.S. the smell is not that bad.
7/8/26 (UPDATE) These collars did not work for my girls. That doesn’t necessarily mean that they won’t work for other cats. I believe coming into adult hood, Harold has developed something neurological. She is on medication prescribed by the vet long term. They are both still separated. They see each other and are able to sniff each other, but they both cannot be together. We actually have an enclosed cat tower for Harold when she wants to be out with us. We alternate so neither is constantly enclosed or alone. I hope the collars work for someone else! Hi, I have two bonded orange sisters. Last Sunday evening 6/1/25 all was normal, my husband, son and I were in the living room watching a show like normal and my one girl (George) was laying on the back of the couch like she normally does. Harold (the other girl) was looking out of the front door like she normally does but this time something must have happened. As she was coming back from the front door George’s demeanor changed and it seemed like she was alerted by something. Next thing I know Harold had attacked George and they’re both screaming bloody murder. Harold had peed all over the floor and I have no idea what happened. I separated them for a few days and this past Saturday is when I decided “okay, I’m going to out Harold’s harness on and let her walk around to pick up smells and see George” 🤦🏼♀️ it was okay for the first hour but then Harold seemed like she wanted to lunge at George and George of course hissed at Harold because I think they’re both still scared. They’re still being separated at night for now cause I do not trust Harold. I purchased these based on the reviews. My husband and I are currently sleeping in different rooms because Harold has severe separation anxiety. Anyways, they were out all day yesterday together and seem to be fine. There’s just a small bit of tension I guess as they reestablish their boundaries. I purchased these collars to help ease the anxiety and stress in both of them. I have the feliway diffuser and calming treats. I just need a miracle teally. I even gave Harold gabapentin recommended by our vet to calm her down but it’s insanely difficult to make her take it. I just wanted to give a back story. I will update in a week to let you know who’s the collars are working 6/10/25.

Hit or Miss
We have two middle aged male cats who have been giving our older female cat, who is the newest edition to our home, a hard time. They chase her away and jump on her and bite her on the butt and just generally harass her and make her nervous. We purchased these after our vet recommended we do so. Our experience has been one of opposites. For one of our cats we put it on once and he’s never taken it off and it’s made a clearly noticeable positive impact. He isn’t perfect of course, but he’s definitely calmer with her, less aggressive towards her and more okay with her being nearby in general than he was before. Our other cat, however, has absolutely no interest whatsoever in keeping this on, including when we attached it to a regular collar with zip ties, and as such, since it’s off in under five minutes every time we put it on, this has not been a solution for him and his behavior remains the same. So ultimately, can this work? Yes. Will it DEFINITELY work? No. But it’s cheap enough to give it a shot and if it doesn’t work you aren’t out much.

We tried it all, this is what worked
We got a new young female cat and 3 of our 4 boys accepted her just fine. But the 4th male cat was ANGRY. He followed her around scowling, scratched up her face, cornered her, growled at her. We tried everything - Feliaway Multi-Cat (maybe reduced it by 50%?), behavior changes, praise, treats, breaks away from her, etc. But this collar is what finally made the biggest difference. It cut down on his territorial aggression by about 85%. There are still some scuffles, but WAY fewer and he's just generally less stressed. It does have a strong smell if you get right up to your cat's neck. It's not unpleasant, just a lavender scent. You do need to make sure you get it as tight as comfortable because it won't work if it can't make contact with the skin. And it also slips loose during the day so we have to tighten it about twice a day. But honestly, I was getting desperate, so if that's what I have to do for a more peaceful household, then I'll do it. If you're having territorial aggression issues with one specific cat, this is definitely worth a try. The Feliaway stuff also seemed to help, but a lot less plus it's expensive so I'm glad to switch to this collar rather than spending a ton of money a month on diffusers, especially now that it's spring and we want to have the windows open which, I would imagine, reduces the effectiveness of the diffusers.

Helps keep my cat comfortable during moves and trips
I purchased this item to help keep my cat comfortable during very stressful events like moving or me being away for a few weeks on externships. I really believed that this collar helped her because she would spend less time hiding during stressful events when I had this collar on her. As a veterinarian, I of course was a little skeptical to how much this might help my cat. I have tried other brands to help calm her, however, the plug-in liquid diffusers made me SO worried because of all the fire hazard warnings. The spray pheromone option was also in consideration, but keeping up with spraying and refreshing the pheromones was unrealistic for me and her cat sitters. This collar seemed perfect to me, and I have purchased this twice already. The collar is pretty thick and long, so it is bound to fit any cat. Because it is long, however, you do have to cut off the excess length after applying and tightening the collar. I left enough space for 2-3 fingers so it wasn't too tight on my cat. Every time she has worn this, she has never attempted to remove it, scratched it, bitten it, or seemed uncomfortable while wearing it. The actual application was very easy, you just kind of apply it like a zip-tie and cut off the little end and that's it. However, because I have never seen her try to get this off, I can't comment on its safety and that was my only concern with the collar. I'm not sure what would happen if she got it caught on something and if she would be able to free herself. However, every time I have left this on her and gone on vacation, she always had a pet sitter or someone else at home to watch her. I do think that the collar works, and at least helps her adjust during stressful events. That being said, I have not used this for continuous, long-term use. I also think I see the best results because I only leave it on for the time it states the collar is effective for. After the effective date passes, I remove the collar. I had considered buying less expensive alternatives, but I tend to just stick with what works and this seemed to work for my cat.

Smells like Raid (floral) & made my cat MORE active
I should probably say upfront that I think my cat is neuroatypical (for a cat). He has behavior my other cats never did, and I've raised them for 40 years. As soon as I put this collar on him, he got HYPER. And he stayed hyper for hours, until I finally took it off. It's possible I just didn't give the collar long enough (I think 4 hours should be plenty of time for scent therapy to work), but... I hated the smell. As the cat was bouncing around, leaping at everything in the room (and spreading that "calming" smell everywhere), my partner said, "Did you spray Raid?". That's when I realized the smell was familiar because it DOES smell like Raid, the kind that uses florals to mask the poison smell. I love lavender and use it often as scent therapy for myself. But this smell is NOT lavender, which is what I expected (although it's possible I just didn't read the product description carefully enough). It kinda reminds me of doggy shampoo, you know, that smell your dog has after they've been freshly washed but still smell like dog? That smell. And since the purpose of the collar is to use scent as a calming agent, it has a strong scent. I'm getting more sensitive to scents as I get older, and I am extremely picky about what scents I wear or have in my house, so YMMV. One other thing I wanted to mention, since the AI summary of the FAQs in this listing is wrong, is that there is NO SAFETY BREAKAWAY for the collar. It has a simple pressure clasp. The band slides through the clasp, and there's a little edge that presses down on it to hold it in place. I suppose you could technically call this "breakaway", since in most situations where you put tension on the band, it would likely just slide out, but it is not technically a breakaway design. So if that's important to you, don't get this one.

10/10 recommend!!
Worked amazing for my aggressive cat. Before he would chase the other two cats around and after putting the Sentry Behavior and Calming Collar on him, he’s relaxed, no more chasing behavior and gets along well with the other cats. 10/10 recommended.

Sensacional

These smell soooo good!
First time bengal owner, desperately trying to find a way to calm down the maniac that is a 4month old kitten, he’s had these for 3 months and I have one in the cupboard still, he’s calm now so I haven’t needed to use it but I’m gunna put it in him for new years tomorrow since he’s terrified of fireworks and this will certainly calm him x 10/10

Open Product
The product I received was already opened. Sentry comes packed in a hard plastic wrap, and the collar inside the tin is also separately wrapped. I received a unit with zero wrapping, so who knows how long its been open.
