Edit: Thankful for Matt and his want to correct the issue we had with the product, and it really takes back what I said about customer service. I got the help I needed because of saying something strong-headed and out loud, but I feel worse about it than if I just didn’t say anything! I didn’t expect them to call back, let alone help me and replace my collar? That’s something I’m sure many people wouldn’t do if it was their business/job.Anyway, life is constantly changing and I want to continue to do the same, so I’m changing this review!The first few weeks we had this collar we trained the dogs with them and the beeps worked fine. The dog never wanted to pass the line and it seemed to work fine. Eventually the dog got up the courage to try and chase the deer outside of the line and there was no shock and very minimal beeping. She preceded to come back through with no repercussions so a few days later i called the company. We've called the company multiple times to try and trouble shoot this collar and all they said was, “Well, you can’t expect your dog to just stay away from the line. It takes time to train them to stay away from the fence line”, to which I explained how that was not the problem, the problem is that the collar doesn't work. It does not shock and only beeps half of the time. My dog will not and cannot learn from a defective collar, whether or not I spend hours training her! Each call I made after that got nowhere. I feel so defeated because we just got this system and we spent hours putting it in and training our dogs to have a defective product that reversed all the work and time we took to keep our dogs safe. Now i cannot get a replacement without paying $160?! How sad! What happened to customer service and businesses backing up their products enough to make sure they actually work and that their customers are satisfied enough to tell their friends to buy too?

I am on my third one in four years, and their getting expense. After you change the batteries twice and then double check the continuity on the wire, it means the collar unit is dead.

I'm amending my review after some spectacular customer service.They PROACTIVELY contacted me about the collar and made things right. Kudos and thank you!!! Your customer service team rocks!!!(Original review said.......This will now be the third replacement purchase in 2 years. I'm dissappointed this last one didn't even last a full year. At this price point, I'd expect they last 2-3 years, but I'm not even getting a full 9 months.My dog isn't particularly hard on it either.)

We love this product. It's worked well for our dogs and like the ability to buy extra collars.However, when getting the extra collars, the contents are inconsistent.The third one we purchased last year, did not come with a battery.The one we just received came with a battery, but only the rubber caps for the short prongs. There were no rubber caps for the longer prongs and this one is for our dog that has a lot of hair.

Way to connect with the unit. Only lasted a year.

Works for my doberman but not my husky or blue tic. Once my blue tic and husky ran over the line a couple times the collar started flashing and then died within a day. My Dobie collar lasted her about 6 months she's never ran over the line
