Totally cubular!!
My kids love these interactive cubes and I have to admit they are pretty fun to watch! We have almost everyone of them, so when they connect them all, it is quite entertaining! The only downfall is that they eat the batteries for lunch!

Fun item and good prices.
Hard to get in stores and this was a good price - meaning I did not have to pay a huge amount just to be able to purchase something through amazon that I could not find at a store. The pkging was good and shipping was quick and the items were as shown and described. My son has several and these two were a great find for me - I am very pleased and would recommend others to get these from amazon as well.

Slim & Scoop --- Fun for the Blues.....
They are simply addictive. I enjoy watching all of the antics these lil guys do everyday. I find them a break from the 'winter blues' and they make me laugh. Yes, I am an adult, and they work better than any anti-depressive meds could. I can't wait until the next sets hit the market!@

I paid HOW MUCH????
Ok- kids were begging for these for Christmas, yeah yeah yeah. We got them - two sets (twins) for them both. First off, they are VERY small. I was surprised at how small they were - only like 3-4 inches by 3-4 inches. I think the kids played with them for about a week and now they sit scattered around the house. Next - they aren't all that exciting to watch. I wasn't impressed.

Cube World
I do not currently own one - had to list reviews tho. According to a magazine article, it sounded interesting. However, after seeing the graphics, I don't think I would pay the amount they're asking. It would probably get boring after a week or so, just like the other "virtual pet/people". If the graphics were better, I might consider it. Best part of magazine review was "Shake or turn the cubes and the stick figures fall down, stagger and get sick". That's something new...

Obscene toy, parents beware!
I thought these toys were fun and cute at first. I bought 2 for my 5 year old in anticipation of a plane trip, since it was quiet and required virtually no interaction from her to use it. My husband checked them out after my daughter had had them a few days and was shocked to see that when the characters visited each others cubes, one would sometimes molest the other and then retreat when rebuffed. I could not believe it myself, but the "random" act was repeated about once every 5 minutes or so and was unmistakably crude. I called customer service, and after speaking to a supervisor, I was told they had not had any other complaints and that they had no plans at all to recall the toys. BTW this is a Mattel subsidiary and I spoke with Mattel customer service and supervisor, Peggy Patrel (spelling?) with Mattel Consumer Relations in East Aurora NY. There are other complains on Amazon and Toys R Us.

What my friend thinks of Cube World *Edited addition*
I don't own Cube World, but a friend of mine does and here's what his review of Cube World is...I previously bought one pair of Cube World Cubes forseries one and although impressed with the animationfelt let down by the limited vocabulary and thenon-existence of surprise given by an occasional new animationsequence. The cubes have a four minute operationaltime before they power down unless human interactionextends the operation time for another four minutes andso on. Most of the sequences programmed into one pairof cubes can be viewed in this time. Despite mymisgivings, I decided to purchase the associated pair forseries one, completing the set. Each cube has it's ownanimations where the individual plaything possessed byan individual stick man is concerned. However, someanimations are common to call cubes including seriestwo. Because stick men can use other playthings ownedby other stick men in conjunction with their ownplaything, having the full set for series one or the full setfor series two expands the animation vocabulary. There are further animation sequences on offer involving multiple stickmen either in one cube or animations across all fourcubes when assembled linearly. Similarly, adding acube from a different series cube to an existing set alsoexpands the animation vocabulary. Cubes do not learnfrom one another, they merely offer or unlockreprogrammed animations. However, don't be surprised if youdon't spot any new animations after 45 minutes ofconstant observation. Repetition is a serious flaw withthis product. Playthings in series two are not accessibleto stick men in series one. For instance, the dog inseries one can interact with all three play things inseries one where applicable, but non of the playthings in series two. Only the stick men can cross series.Series two is themed differently, each man having avariety of themed play things. Inter cube interactioninvolving playthings is not always as obvious as inseries one and is sometimes so vague that breaking theconnection or watching incredibly closely may be the only ways totell. That said, there are some very clever and amusinganimation sequences in both series.Given that these cubes are based on the screen savertheme, they would probably be best suited toenthusiasts. They are relaxing to watch so those who like thesoothing sensation offered by aquariums may enjoy thesecubes when wanting to doze off. Art students studyingmotion and movement may find the smooth animationsequences helpful and those vaguely interested inelectronics and networks may enjoy mentally working out howthe cubes communicate. It would be an overestimation tosuggest these cubes would aid the study of socialscience but there is an underlying message here. If youlike to think outside the box, these cubes may interestyou.Parents should be aware that each cube requires it'sown flat cell battery and while they're expected tohave a reasonably long life, probably longer than thechild's interest, these batteries are not cheap, especially if replenishment of an extensive collection isrequired.

Cute!
After opening these cute little cubes on Christmas Day, everyone aged 8 to 70 years old wanted to watch these stick men play. When stacked, they play tricks on each other and do all kinds of funny and adorable things. What a great gift for kids of all ages but especially the 8 to 15 year olds. Although, I'm in my 40s and I watched these little guys play for quite awhile before my pre-teens took them away from me.
